Four prisoners face charges in sexual assault of inmate with broomstick

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. – Four men were formally charged Wednesday in the 2022 sexual assault of another inmate at Coastal State Prison.

Anthony Quintilis Webb, Adam Jarreau Conerly, Devin Altoid Wilbert, and Willie James Blocker are named in the indictments as attackers of another inmate.

They are all charged with aggravated sexual battery, false imprisonment, and unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution.

They are accused of sexually assaulting another inmate with a broomstick on Aug. 17, 2022, according to their indictments. They also allegedly punched and kicked the man during the incident.

As of Feb. 19, Webb and Conerly are being held at Macon State Prison.

Webb’s maximum possible release date is in 2044 for a 2019 incident in Newton County. He was found guilty on several charges, including aggravated assault, cruelty to children, simple battery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to corrections records.

Conerly was found guilty of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and two counts of criminal damage stemming from a 2019 incident in Clarke County, according to corrections records.

Wilbert is being held at Ware State Prison. He is serving time for armed robbery, two counts of theft by shoplifting, and two counts of burglary. His charges stem from several incidents between 2013 and 2017 in Laurens County, Georgia Corrections Department documents show.

Blocker’s information and mugshot were not available on the Georgia Corrections Department website.
