Georgia daycare owner arrested, charged with child molestation

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ga. – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Milledgeville man in connection with allegations of child molestation.

Irvin Eugene Griffin, 78, who operates the Griffin Group Home Daycare with his wife, was taken into custody at his Milledgeville residence following an investigation requested by the Milledgeville Police Department. The request for GBI assistance came on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

Griffin was charged with child molestation and is currently booked at the Baldwin County Jail. The GBI has not disclosed whether the alleged victim attended the daycare.

Authorities said the investigation remains active, and additional information may be released as the case progresses.
