Gwinnett County (January 14, 2023) – The Gwinnett Police Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of Felipe Velasco (45-years-old).
At approximately 12:40 AM officers at the Southside Precinct responded to a person shot call at 1446 Fox Forest Ct Sw in Lilburn, GA. When officers arrived on scene, they located Felipe Velasco with a gunshot wound inside the residence. Velasco was transported to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The suspect has been identified as Miguel Rodriguez (19-years-old). Rodriguez has active warrants for his arrest at this time for Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault. Rodriquez is known to drive a Jeep wrangler with Georgia tag “XEG482.” The motive for the shooting is believed to be domestic related.
