HALL COUNTY, Ga. – A Hall County man has been arrested on bestiality and obscenity charges after investigators say he recorded himself committing a sex act with a dog and distributed the video on social media.
Justin Nicholas Watson, 22, was taken into custody Friday by Hall County sheriff’s deputies. Investigators said he shared the video on Snapchat with at least three people.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred between May 21 and May 22 at Watson’s home on Joe Chandler Road.
The case was first reported to the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office, which later determined the alleged crime happened in Hall County. The investigation was transferred July 31.
On Aug. 14, Hall County investigators obtained a search warrant for Watson’s Snapchat account. Evidence recovered from that search led deputies to obtain a warrant for Watson’s arrest and conduct a search at his home.
Authorities said the dog was not injured and has since been placed in the care of Hall County Animal Services.
Watson was booked into the Hall County Jail on charges of bestiality and distributing obscene material. He was released the next day after posting an $8,100 bond.
