COBB COUNTY, Ga. – An Atlanta woman has been charged after authorities say she threw bodily fluids at deputies inside the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on Oct. 31, court records show.

According to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office, Emerald Miller is accused of slinging a mixture of blood and urine from a facility-issued plastic cup through the crack in the side of her cell door at about 8:15 p.m. The warrant says the liquid struck a deputy on the left side of her face, including her eye, and dripped onto her county-issued uniform and protective vest.

About an hour later, at 9:30 p.m., Miller allegedly hurled an unknown liquid through the same cell-door opening at a second deputy, the warrant states.

Miller faces two felony counts of obstruction and two counts of unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution, according to the warrant. Officials have not released information about any injuries to the deputies or whether they received medical treatment.

The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incidents. No additional details were released.
