Flagler County, FL – A Georgia man was found sleeping, in his truck, at a Mobile gas station with 338 grams of Fentanyl in a fanny pack.
The security company for the gas station called police when the alarm went off from the back door.
Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call, from a security company, regarding an alarm being set off at the gas station. At the location, the deputy discovered James Wilson Duke, 33, of Kennesaw, Georgia, sleeping in his vehicle.
After Duke provided several false names, the deputy was finally able to determine his name and discovered that there was an active warrant for his arrest in Tennessee.
After deputies arrested Duke they found a syringe, a fanny pack filled with plastic bags of Fentanyl and a burglary kit, in his truck.
Duke was charged with ‘Giving a False name to Law Enforcement,’ ‘Loitering/Prowling,’ and ‘Resisting an Officer.’ Charges were added later for ‘Trafficking in Fentanyl,’ ‘Possession of Burglary Tools,’ and ‘Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.’
Duke was booked into the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and is being held on a $508,000 bond.
Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly said in a Press Release, “Poison peddlers need to get this message: Don’t sleep in Flagler County or you’ll be residents of the Green Roof Inn.”
