Bibb County (March 22, 2023) – A female Spanish-speaking woman reported to authorities that her employer had fondled her breast and fired her the same day when she refused to let him go any further. She told the Bibb County Sheriff’s officers that his business “hires undocumented Hispanics or Guatemalans and then victimizes them and threatens to call immigration.”
A documented citizen, she said she had nothing to worry about and therefore wished to press charges. She explained that the suspect, Kalpeshkumar Chandulal Patel, had raped a 23-year-old employee and paid her to keep quiet.
Concerned he deleted any video footage, she said he “always does this where no one can see.” The following day, another female employee reported that Patel had touched her inappropriately and then offered her money.
She said he had done it several times and to other people as well. Officers arrested Patel and transported him to Bibb County Jail, where he was charged with misdemeanor sexual battery and misdemeanor pandering. This case is currently active.

[NARRATIVE #1 on March 22, 2023]
On Wednesday March 22, 2023 at 1929 hours I, Deputy Irwin, was dispatched [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a sexual assault that happened at [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. The notes stated that the female had to use the language line. Upon arrival, I was asked to wait while they got someone who could help translate for me and the victim.
The female who helped said she would do the best she could. I told her right now I needed to get some basic information to see what was going on and we would go from there. I found out that the victim, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], worked at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] as a documented employee until the day she was victimized and fired.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] said that on February 27th “Parine” touched her breast over her clothing without her permission and when she refused anything further she was fired that same day. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said that another female (23 years of age) who works/worked there was actually raped but accepted a pay off.
She said this business hires undocumented Hispanics or Guatemalans and then victimizes them and threatens to call immigration. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] has documentation and has no reason to be scared and wants to proceed with charging the suspect. She does not know his real name but says he is an Indian male in his 50’s about 5’8″-5’9″ in height who wears glasses and has a bit of a belly, he is also going bald on the back/top of his head.
She said that she is worried he has already deleted any possibly video evidence. There are no witnesses to the incident because he always does this where no one can see. I gave her a case pamphlet for this incident and informed her of the crisis line and safe house. I also told her it would be great if others would start coming forward.

[NARRATIVE #2 on March 23, 2023]
On March 23, 2023 I Dep. D. Medina responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to sexual battery.
On arrival I made contact with the victim who stated Kalpeshkumar Patel had inappropriately touched her and then offered her money. She stated that he has done it multiple times and she is not the only one it has happened to before.
Suspect will be charged with Pandering and Sexual Battery. He was handcuffed and taken to Bibb County jail for booking.
