DeKalb County, Ga. – Reality television personality Karlie Redd, known for her role on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” is facing a felony burglary charge following her arrest in DeKalb County earlier this week.
Redd, whose legal name is Karlie Lewis, was booked into the DeKalb County Jail on April 23 and released the same day on a consent bond, according to her attorney, Steve Sadow.
Court documents show that Lewis is accused of entering a residence without permission between Jan. 13 and Jan. 15 and taking personal belongings, including a birth certificate, a watch, and a card. Investigators allege she entered through a back bedroom door. Surveillance footage cited in the case reportedly shows her in the garage area, peering through a window before entering the home.
The arrest warrant lists the alleged victim as Lewis’ estranged husband. The couple is currently undergoing divorce proceedings.
Her attorney, who also represents high-profile clients in Georgia, said Lewis voluntarily turned herself in and expressed confidence that the case will have a favorable outcome.
No court date has been set, and the case remains under investigation by DeKalb County authorities.
Lewis has been a fixture on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” since its debut in 2012 and remains one of the few original cast members appearing in its 12th season.
