Warning: The following story contains information regarding physical violence.
MONROE COUNTY, Ga. – On December 7, 2023, Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 25-year-old Macon man, Wyyeh Ahmard White, for assaulting a 23-year-old Jackson man on Saturday, November 25, 2023. White allegedly pepper-sprayed the victim’s face and eyes and struck him in the head with a “large hand truck,” rendering him unconscious and severely wounded.
Upon arrival at the crime scene on Cronic Street in Jackson, Georgia, the deputy “immediately observed a large amount of blood on the victim’s clothing and face, which appeared to be coming from the top of his head.” He “was staggering and spoke with a weak voice.”
The victim sat on a chair, and the deputy could see “a large, deep gash in the top right side of his head near the back.” The smell of pepper spray lingered in the air.
After the victim stated he did not remember exactly what had occurred, only that it involved “a Black male he referred to as Omar,” a witness exclaimed that if he “hadn’t saved him, he [White] would have killed him!” The witness said he “saw Omar standing over an unconscious [victim], hitting him with a hand truck in the head.”
The witness explained that he grabbed a BB gun and used it to scare White, who jumped into a vehicle and fled. The victim told the deputy that “White had accused him of taking some of his belongings,” and the attack stemmed from an incident on November 22, 2023.
The victim said White stayed with him at his home for one day, vacated the residence, and “had come back today accusing him of taking some of his things.” He still could not remember all the details but mentioned that White had pepper-sprayed him.
When asked how he knew the suspect, he said he had accompanied his friend in providing White with a ride from Lamar County to Macon.
The deputy returned outside to analyze the scene and observed “a green hand truck to the left of the front door near a pair of shoes and a ball cap. There were spots of blood all about the area.” The witness said the shoes and hat belonged to the victim and identified the hand-truck as the weapon.
The deputy found a canister of pepper spray and “a steel spiked knuckle set with blades on both ends,” which he determined a “novelty” owned by knife collectors but “deadly if used offensively.” The witness said the knuckle set belonged to the victim, and the pepper spray belonged to White.
EMS responded, and an ambulance transported the victim to Navicent in Macon.
The victim’s friend corroborated his story regarding picking up White, stopping at his broken-down blue SUV to retrieve “a couple of bags,” and taking him to Macon. The Lamar County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that “a blue in color Toyota Highlander” had been “towed off of Chapel Mill Road a couple of days” prior.
White was charged with aggravated battery. This case is pending in court.

On Saturday, November 25, 2023 at approximately 0151 hours I, Deputy Jason O’Steen responded to [20 BLOCK] Cronic St in reference to an assault. I arrived and made contact with [WITNESS #1] who quickly directed me into the front door of the address where I made contact with [VICTIM #1]. I immediately observed a large amount of blood on [VICTIM #1] clothing and face which appeared to be coming from the top of his head. [VICTIM #1] was staggering and spoke with a weak voice. Mr. [VICTIM #1] sat down on a kitchen chair which was when I observed a large, deep gash in the top right side of his head near the back. I also detected the odor of a burning chemical smell in the air that I recognized to be pepper spray.
[VICTIM #1] stated to me that he did not remember what had happened to him only that it had involved a black male he refered to as “Omar”. Mr. [WITNESS #1] said that if he “hadn’t of saved him ([VICTIM #1]), he (Omar) would have killed him!”. [WITNESS #1] stated that when he came outside he saw “Omar” standing over an unconscience [VICTIM #1] hitting him with a handtruck in the head. [WITNESS #1] said that he grabbed a bb gun and used it to scare “Omar” who jumped into a light or gold colored SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer, and fled the scene.
[VICTIM #1] told me that “Omar”, who was later identified as Wyyeh Ahmard White, had accused him of taking some of his belongings. He said that the incident stems from Wednesday, November 22nd when White had come to stay with [VICTIM #1] at [30 BLOCK] Cronic St. [VICTIM #1] was staying in the loft style barn in the back of the address and said that White had only stayed there a day before leaving and had come back today accusing him of taking some of his things. [VICTIM #1] could not tell me much about what happened after White showed up but did say that White did pepper spray him during the altercation. I asked [VICTIM #1] how he knew White. He said that he went with his friend [WITNESS #2] ([WITNESS #2]) to give White a ride when they picked White up off of Chapel Mill Rd in Lamar County and gave him a ride to somewhere in Macon.
I went back outside [20 BLOCK] Cronic St and began checking the area where [VICTIM #1] had been attacked. I observed a green handtruck to the left of the front door near a pair of shoes and a ball cap. There were spots of blood all about the area. Mr. [WITNESS #1] said that they were [VICTIM #1] shoes and hat then indicated that the green handtruck was what White had used to beat [VICTIM #1] with. Upon further inspection I observed a steel spiked knuckle set with blades on both ends which is an item that in my knowledge, training and experience knife collectors would own as a novelty but would be deadly if used offensively. A foot or so away from the blade was a small black canister of pepper spray. [WITNESS #1] stated that the bladed knuckles belonged to [VICTIM #1] and the pepper spray was White’s. A case card was given to [VICTIM #1] before he was transported via ambulance to Navicent in Macon.
I made contact with [WITNESS #3] on scene who owned both [20 BLOCK] and [30 BLOCK] Cronic St. [WITNESS #3] indicated that [VICTIM #1] was staying across the street at [30 BLOCK] Cronic St in the shed in the back. Cpl. A. Thompson was on scene and assisted me in checking the shed but no contact was made with White. Contact was made at [30 BLOCK] Cronic St with [WITNESS #4] who lives in the main residence. He said that a black male (White) had came to the house earlier looking for [VICTIM #1] saying that [VICTIM #1] took his belongings. [WITNESS #4] said that shortly after, he heard yelling across the street at [20 BLOCK] Cronic St and observed [WITNESS #1] come outside with a bb gun pointing it at White telling him to leave the property. [WITNESS #4] stated that White fled the scene in what he thought was a dark colored SUV.
Cpl. Thompson later made contact with [VICTIM #1] as well as [WITNESS #2] who was able to give a little more insight. He was able to corroborate [VICTIM #1] account of events saying that he and [VICTIM #1] went to Van Buren Rd which is off of Chapel Mill Rd in Lamar County to pick up White and take him to Macon. He said that along the way he stopped at a blue SUV belonging to White that had broke down and grabbed a couple of bags out of it before continuing to pick white up. Cpl. Thompson then made contact with Lamar County SO who confirmed a blue in color Toyota Highlander bearing Georgia tag display [REDACTED] had been towed off of Chapel Mill Rd a couple of days back belonging to White and that they had recently made contact with White off of Van Buren Rd as well.
As of this report, no contact has been made with Wyyeh White. Pictures and video documentation was taken by my department issue Lenslock body cam. Warrants will be secured for his arrest for the following.
1 count of aggravated battery as White malicioulsy caused [VICTIM #1] bodily harm by rendering his eyes and sight useless after pepper spraying, and 1 count of aggravated assault as White used a large handtruck, which when used offensively is likely to cause great bodily harm or death, to strike [VICTIM #1] repeatedly in or about his head leaving him unconscience with a large, deep and bleeding gash in the back of his head.
