BURKE COUNTY, Ga. – Burke County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 27-year-old Grovetown man, Brandon Michael Bailey, and charged him with aggravated child molestation on January 23, 2024. The victim’s mother told the responding deputy that she discovered inappropriate messages between Bailey and her juvenile daughter.
She explained that her daughter had been texting back and forth with her friend’s ex-boyfriend, possibly since Tuesday, December 26, 2023. She observed “derogative texts” between them on her daughter’s cell phone via text messaging, Snapchat, and Facebook Messenger.
The mother stated that Bailey uses a different phone number each time, and he “continues to text her on Facebook Messenger and would not stop.” She confronted him on Messenger, to which Bailey denied ever touching her daughter.
Bailey’s ex-girlfriend explained that he would not stop texting her. She said that no matter how many times she blocks Bailey’s number, he continues to make new cell phone numbers to contact her.
The child’s mother showed the deputy photographs on her cell phone depicting the exchanged messages and advised that Bailey works at the Walmart in Grovetown. The deputy observed the juvenile sending pictures of herself and texts to a Snapchat user.
This case is pending in court.

On Wednesday, January 17, 2023 at 1820hrs, I, Deputy J. Fletcher, responded to [200 BLOCK] McBean Church Road in reference to a suspicious incident.
On arrival, I activated my department-issued body camera and made contact with [WITNESS #1] (Complainant). [WITNESS #1] stated her daughter [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (Juvenile) has been texting back and forth with her friend’s ex-boyfriend Bailey, Brandon. [WITNESS #1] stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] has possibly been in contact with Bailey since Tuesday, December 26, 2023. [WITNESS #1] stated she has seen derogative texts between [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Bailey on [REDACTED BY AGENCY]s cell phone. [WITNESS #1] stated the text have been between text messages and messages on Snapchat. [WITNESS #1] advised Bailey uses a different phone number each time when contacting [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
[WITNESS #1] stated Bailey continues to text her on Facebook Messenger and would not stop. [WITNESS #1] confronted Bailey via Facebook Messenger to which Bailey denied ever touching [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
[VICTIM #1] stated Bailey is her ex-boyfriend and that he would not stop texting her. [VICTIM #1] stated that no matter how many times she blocks Bailey’s number he continues to make new cell phone numbers to contact her.
[WITNESS #1] was unable to provide a good contact number or address for Bailey. [WITNESS #1] stated Bailey works at the Wal-Mart in Grovetown. I observed photos from [WITNESS #1]’s phone where she showed me what was said between her and Bailey as well as Bailey texting [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. I observed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] sending pictures of herself and texts to a Snapchat user by the name of [REDACTED]. I attached the pictures of the messages to this report that [WITNESS #1]’ provided. I advised [WITNESS #1] a report would be made and to contact the Sheriff’s Office if needed.
