GORDON COUNTY, Ga. – A Pickens County man was arrested Saturday as part of a child molestation investigation after Gordon County deputies located a missing juvenile at a motel near the U.S. 41 and Interstate 75 intersection.
According to the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received information that the missing child—reported from a neighboring county—was possibly at the motel. Authorities located the minor and safely returned them to their parents.
In the same motel room, deputies found Nicholas Thomas Kowalski, 29, of Talking Rock. Following an investigation, Kowalski was arrested and charged with aggravated child molestation, child molestation, first-degree cruelty to children, enticing a child for indecent purposes, and felony sodomy.
As of Tuesday, Kowalski remains in the Gordon County Jail without bond, pending a court appearance.
