ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. – A man is facing multiple charges for allegedly raping a 14-year-old male after meeting him on Grindr, a social networking and dating app for LGBTQ+ individuals. On March 4, 2024, deputies from the Newton and Rockdale County Sheriff’s Offices met with the victim and his family at his Covington home.
The juvenile explained that he met a man identified as “Tyler” (Jacques Jones) on Grindr on February 20, 2024, who suggested they message each other on Instagram. They agreed to meet and have sex, and the juvenile disabled his family’s Ring cameras so he could sneak out.
He said he entered “Tyler’s” black truck, and they drove past Salem High School to “Tyler’s” residence. They walked upstairs into his bedroom, where he instructed the victim to remove his clothing, and he complied.
“Tyler” removed his clothes as well and told him he was going to perform oral sex on the victim, which he began. “Tyler” then turned onto his stomach and told the victim to insert his penis into his anus, which he agreed to but could not because he was not “fully” “turned on.”
“Tyler” told him to get on his knees and raise his buttocks in the air, and he complied. “Tyler” grabbed a dildo and inserted it into the victim’s anus, but it hurt, so “Tyler” stopped.
He said “Tyler” then masturbated, and after he ejaculated, he told the victim to “lick it up,” to which he complied. They both got dressed and “Tyler” drove him home.
He said he began to feel bad once the ordeal ended, and he told his mother and aunt what had happened.
Authorities arrested Jones on March 12, 2024. He faces charges of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, and two counts of felony sodomy. This case is pending in court.

On 3/4/2024 at approximately 2002hrs while on patrol of zone 5, I was dispatched to the address of [20 BLOCK] Brickstone Parkway Covington, Ga 30016. The call was about a 14-year-old male complaining that he was raped in Rockdale County near Salem High School.
I responded to the area. I arrived on scene, parked in front of the address, then I got out of my patrol unit and approached the house. I knocked on the door and a few moments later, I was invited in by [REDACTED]. I walked to the back of the house where I saw a Newton County Deputy who advised me that the child [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he was raped.
I walked over to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who was sitting at the table with [REDACTED] ([REDACTED BY AGENCY] mother). [REDACTED] readily had her Identification card and relinquished it to me, then she walked away, so [REDACTED BY AGENCY] could feel comfortable explaining the circumstances behind him being raped.
Once [REDACTED] walked away, I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] what happened. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] explained that he met a male only known as Tyler on an app called Grinder. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] says this happened on February 20th, 2024. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] explained that the pair spoke for a little while, then Tyler told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to message him on Instagram with Tylers handle being “[REDACTED]”.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] further explained that he and Tyler spoke about meeting up and having sex, to which [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he agreed to. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] says he went to go take a shower, then [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he got dressed, then he turned off all the ring cameras, so he could sneak out of the house undetected.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Tyler was driving around in a black truck. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he got in contact with Tyler and said that he see’s Tyler driving. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he got into the truck and Tyler started to drive him to his (Tyler’s house). [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he saw Salem High school, then moments later they pulled into Tylers driveway.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] says he and Tyler walked into Tylers house, then upstairs and into Tylers room. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] says Tyler told him to take off his clothes and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] says he complied. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] says Tyler took his clothes off as well. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] says Tyler told him that he (Tyler) was going to suck his ([REDACTED BY AGENCY]) Pe*is and started to do so.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] says Tyler then turned on his stomach and told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to insert his pe*is into his an*s. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] agreed to do so, but he was unable to due to him not fully being turned on. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] says Tyler asked him how he gets turned on and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] says by humping the sheets. Tyler instructed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to do so and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] started to do so.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] says Tyler told him to get on his knees and raise his butt in the air, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] says he complied. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said Tyler took out a D*ldo (sex pe*is) and inserted it into [REDACTED BY AGENCY] an*s. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] says he told Tyler that it hurt, so Tyler stopped. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said Tyler then began to mast*rbate and once he climaxed, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said Tyler told him to lick it up. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said he complied.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] says once he was finished, both men got dressed and Tyler took [REDACTED BY AGENCY] back home. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said he felt bad once the ordeal was over and he ended up telling his aunt and mother about the situation.
Once I was done talking to [REDACTED BY AGENCY], I gave some advice pertaining to the ring camera app that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was able to use to turn the cameras off, then I gave case numbers to [REDACTED]. I explained that investigators will reach out to them to investigate the matter further. I left the scene shortly after.
