CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. – On August 21, 2024, Chattanooga police officers discovered Brooke Killings’ body in a wooded area off Interstate 75, four days after her loved ones reported her missing. Authorities arrested the victim’s 29-year-old boyfriend, Demarcus Napier, and charged him with murder for allegedly shooting Killings at his home and dumping her body in trash bags held together with duct tape.
A witness, Napier’s friend, reported that Napier confessed to shooting a person after disposing of her body.
New details emerged during the suspect’s preliminary hearing on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Prosecutors presented multiple pieces of evidence, including photographs of trash bags in Napier’s room, blood in his driveway and car, and a receipt for duct tape, trash bags, a shovel, and some grapes.
The judge denied him bond in this pending case.
According to reports, Killings was a ten-year veteran of the United States Army who has three children ranging in age from 2 to 11 years old. Killings was an employee at the Chattanooga Volkswagen plant.
Her family created a GoFundMe account to provide some support for her children.
