Bibb County (December 14, 2022) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred in the 3800 block of Log Cabin Drive just after 9:00pm, Wednesday night.
Deputies responded to Log Cabin Drive in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival deputies found the victim later identified as 16-year-old Nathaniel Alexander Elder suffering from a gunshot wound. Elder was transported to Atrium Health where he was later pronounced deceased by medical staff. According to Coroner Leon Jones the next of kin has been notified.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are still determining what lead up to the shooting. Further details will be released once it becomes available.
