COBB COUNTY, Ga. – Authorities in Marietta are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a person suspected of setting fires at two used car dealerships late Monday night.
According to investigators, the first fire broke out shortly before midnight at Atlanta Luxury Motors, located on Cobb Parkway. Minutes later, a second fire was reported at Unlimited Auto Group of Marietta, less than a mile away.
The Marietta Fire Department determined both fires were intentionally set. Officials believe the same man is responsible for both incidents and say he was seen walking along Cobb Parkway around the time the fires began. A motive has not yet been identified.
In total, five vehicles were damaged, two pickup trucks at Atlanta Luxury Motors and three vehicles at the second location. No injuries were reported.
Marietta police and fire investigators responded to both scenes. As of the latest update, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
