Richmond County Sheriff’s deputy arrested after punching girlfriend in face, injuring daughter during argument

The following was taken from a press release distributed by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office on April 16, 2024:

RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. – On April 15, 2024, at 9:21pm, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Internal Affairs Division was notified that Deputy Terence Driggers was arrested at his residence by the Harlem Police Department for a domestic related incident. Deputy Driggers was off duty at the time of the incident.

Deputy Driggers began his employment with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office on March 14, 2015. Deputy Driggers was assigned to Road Patrol, and Deputy Driggers resigned on April 16, 2024.

This incident will follow the same course as any other criminal investigation, and no other information will be provided at this time.

[According to arrest warrants, Driggers punched his live-in girlfriend in the face and threw their daughter to the ground inside the home. Driggers’ girlfriend sustained bruising and swelling to her eye and his daughter suffered visible cuts to her arm and abdomen.]
