ROSSVILLE, Ga. – A woman called authorities on April 25, 2023, to report that her husband had molested their daughter for several years, starting when she was four. She also informed them that she had stabbed him with a kitchen knife but “did not see any gushing blood.”

Nicole Renee Rodriguez said she “went into the bedroom thinking she was going to play God and wanted to stab him.” She stated, “I had to do something to protect” her.

She denied EMS for herself but said she did not know if he needed help, although “he was up walking around.” Rodriguez arranged to meet with Walker County Sheriff’s officers at Rusty’s Meat Market to discuss the sexual abuse and physical altercation.

Crying, she told them she put all the children in the car “and wanted him to be dead, but when it came down to it, she just could not do it.” She explained that her husband had been accused of molesting their child three years ago, DFCAS became involved, and she gained custody.

Officers relocated to the residence to check on her husband. He revealed a minor laceration on his right hand and a small puncture wound on his right forearm but refused medical attention.

They collected the knife and placed Rodriguez, who became uncooperative, into custody. She was charged with aggravated assault – family violence later that day. This case is currently pending in court.

[NARRATIVE #1 on April 25, 2023]

On Tuesday 04/25/2023 at 0521 hours, I was dispatched to Rusty’s Meat market in reference to a child molestation that occurred at [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Dispatch advised prior to my arrival that the caller stated her husband molested her [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and they got into a physical altercation. She advised dispatch that she does not need EMS but she does not know if he does or not.

Upon my arrival myself and Sgt Agredano met with the listed suspect. She had kids in the vehicle so I asked her to step out and speak with us. She was crying and advised us that she is freaking out and needed to calm down to get the situation straight. She then advised that her husband was accused of molesting [REDACTED BY AGENCY] about 3 years ago. She advised DFACS was involved and closed the case so he got custody of the [REDACTED BY AGENCY] back. She advised it is her [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and the [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told her everything. She advised she made him leave Sunday 04/23/2023 over an argument about it and let him come back last date 04/24/2023. She advised she grabbed a kitchen knife and went into the bedroom thinking she was going to play God and wanted to stab him. She advised she does not know if she got him good because she did not see any gushing blood or anything like that.

I asked her so you do not know if you stabbed him or not and she advised she did get him on his right side but he was up walking around. She advised she put all the kids in the car and wanted him to be dead but when it came down to it she just could not do it she advised she froze up. She advised he has been doing this to his [REDACTED BY AGENCY] since she was 4 years old.
