STEPHENS COUNTY, Ga. – A package theft ring led by FedEx contract drivers was uncovered after months of investigation, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office said.
The investigation began in April when a Stephens County woman reported that a package marked as delivered by FedEx never arrived. She later recovered the package after contacting someone who had purchased its contents on Facebook Marketplace.
Authorities determined that Quandrickus Dominique Major, 35, had stolen the package and resold it. Major, who was employed as a driver for a third-party subcontractor working with FedEx Ground, had additional packages and packing slips belonging to other people at his home, along with illegal drugs. He was arrested on four counts of theft by receiving stolen property and drug-related charges and released on a $16,000 bond.
The investigation later revealed that other drivers with the same subcontractor were involved. Two of them were identified as 35-year-old Daniel Glasco and 37-year-old Quentin Jackson. Additionally, 43-year-old Manhattan Colbert and 33-year-old Quincy Jones were found in possession of stolen items, which authorities say were allegedly traded for drugs.
Recovered packages included a wide range of items, from electronics such as a 65-inch television to appliances, a bed frame, a lawnmower, and a beverage cooler.
All suspects employed by FedEx’s subcontractor have been fired, the sheriff’s office said.
The investigation remains active.
