Gordon County (February 2, 2023) – Witnesses reported to school officials that a 17-year-old student showed at least six other students child pornography on his cell phone while on school grounds. One of the videos contained footage of a child, approximately 3-5 years old, touching an adult woman’s vagina and buttocks with his hands and penis.
A detective and deputies from the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office interviewed the suspect, Chandler Beddington, and his parents. Beddington stated that a friend had sent him the videos two years ago, and he saved them to his phone. He said a student asked him if he still possessed one of the videos, so he showed it to him and five other students.
Another video displayed a prepubescent juvenile boy, wearing a red and blue Paw Patrol shirt, engaged in sexual intercourse with an unknown female.
The detective obtained a warrant on February 6 for possession of child pornography, and Beddington was arrested for the sexual exploitation of children on February 8. This case is currently pending in court.

[NARRATIVE #1 on February 02, 2023]
On Thursday, February 2nd, 2023 at approximately 1450 hours Deputy A.L. MEDINA reported back to 7340 Fairmount HWY SE, Calhoun, Georgia, 30701, Sonoraville High School after completing Red Bud Elementary car rider traffic. Assistant Principal’s [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] initially advised Deputy E. SHELLEY of an incident involving students showing explicit content to several other students in 3rd block between the hours of 1150-1350 based on the fact he was on post while Deputy MEDINA stepped off campus.
Deputy MEDINA met with Principal [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2], along male student C. BEDDINGTON in the front office of building #4, MR. [WITNESS #1]’S office. MR. [WITNESS #1] advised that BEDDINGTON had a video on his phone and showed said video to several other students in the classroom, these other students are all listed under names in the report.
The video that was shown to Deputy MEDINA was very disturbing as it showed what looked to be a young male child possibly between the ages of 3-5 years initially sitting on the back side of legs on what appeared to be an older adult female. The video then showed this young boy touching the female with his hands and then with his p*nis in and on the females butt area, this happened with skin to skin contact. Towards the end of the video it showed the young boy then touching with his hands and p*nis the female’s vag*na area.
All information was passed to the proper chain of command, BEDDINGTON’S cell phone was kept secured in MR. [WITNESS #1]’S office. The phone and pass code were obtained from and also given to MR. [WITNESS #1] from BEDDINGTON. Deputy MEDINA made contact with Gordon County Detective D. PAYNE and also made contact with BEDDINGTON’S mother [REDACTED].
The iPhone that was obtained from BEDDINGTON was later handed over to Detective PAYNE with a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office Receipt for Property #20263 completed by Deputy MEDINA.

[NARRATIVE #2 on February 02, 2023]
On Thursday February 2, 2023, Detective PAYNE was assigned U.C.R. 23-02-0062, in which Mr. CHANDLER BEDDINGTON, a 17 YOA student at S.H.S., had shown six different classmates, ranging in ages from 17 YOA-18 YOA, a video from his Apple Iphone of child pornography while on school grounds of S.H.S. Once the school officials were made aware of the incident, they took control of the Apple Iphone.
Detective PAYNE had Deputy A.L. MEDINA, a School Resource Officer for Gordon County Schools, bring the Apple Iphone to Detective PAYNE. Detective PAYE then conducted an interview with CHANDLER as well as his Father [REDACTED] and his mother [REDACTED].
All parties were advised of CHANDLER’s Miranda Rights and they advised they understood them and would be willing to speak about the incident. CHANDLER stated a friend from school, Mr. [REDACTED], sent him the video two years ago and he saved it to his Iphone. He then was asked on this date by a student if he still had the video and he replied that he did, and he proceeded to show the video to 6 other students.
Detective PAYNE then asked for consent to view the video and it was given by [REDACTED]. Detective PAYNE had [REDACTED] complete the consent to a search warrant form, and Detective PAYNE viewed the video.
Detective PAYNE observed a video depicting a pre-pubescent juvenile male, wearing a red and blue “paw patrol” shirt engaged in sexual intercourse with an unknown adult female by placing his p*nis into her v*gina. Detective PAYNE then had Detective M. HILL complete a forensic media extraction of the Iphone to where the video was retrieved.
On Monday February 6, 2023 Detective PAYNE drafted and obtained one arrest warrant for possession of child pornography against CHANDLER.
