Update #1: The female decedent has been identified as Mirian Farranto (age 35). The male decedent has been identified as Christopher Farranto (age 52)
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating a double shooting that left a man and woman deceased. Shortly after 6:00 am, officers assigned to the Central Precinct responded to a shooting call at a home on Woodington Circle in unincorporated Lawrenceville. When officers arrived, they located a man and woman deceased in the driveway.
The original call was made by a teenage boy who lives at the home. He was home with his two siblings at the time of the shooting. None of the children were harmed.
Detectives believe that the shooting occurred around dawn. The incident is believed to be domestic-related between the man and woman, and no other suspects are thought to be involved. The Crime Scene Unit, District Attorney’s Office, and Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene. The children are all school-aged, attending high school, middle school, and elementary school.
Upon next-of-kin notification, the victims’ names will be released.
