GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. – Glynn County Police officers arrested a 38-year-old man on February 1, 2024, and charged him with misdemeanor sexual battery for fondling a woman during a massage. The victim traveled to the police department on January 29, 2024, and reported the incident that occurred at Family Health Chiropractic on January 22, 2024.
She explained that after she noticed several “red flags” in Stuart Barnwell Warren‘s behavior during her massage appointment, she felt “his hand” travel “from her breast slowly down to the upper band of her underwear.” Warren “then [came] back up vigorously with Biofreeze on his hand and grope[d] her entire breast.”
She immediately reacted, and he pulled away from her, stating, “Oh my God; I think I crossed the line” numerous times. He said, “Oh my God, but you touched my leg in the beginning, and I thought you wanted more.”
She told him she thought she was touching the table. She explained to the officers that earlier in the massage, she “lowered her hand thinking her arm was resting on a table/chair” and “did not realize her arm was resting on Warren’s leg the entire time until Warren moved his leg.”
She felt mortified knowing she had her hand on his leg. Warren did not say anything to her when this occurred.
He “kept asking her, ‘What do you want me to do next? Where do you want me to concentrate?” She “felt aggravated by this since he should already know what he needed to do” because she explained everything to him earlier.
She said she had been a patient at the office for a while, and six months prior, when her massage therapist became unavailable, Warren was the replacement. She explained her medical issues to him during the first sessions, and he told her he “knew what areas to focus on.”
She immediately noticed “it was odd” that she heard music playing in the room because she never heard music during her previous appointments. She “thought it was also unusual that the ‘draping’ they normally have in the rooms was lower.”
At one point, he reached “over her arm in a ‘funny’ way,” and a while later, “she felt a ‘weird rustling’ with the drapes.” She said, “This immediately made [me] think that Warren lifted up her drape and looked under them.”
She explained that the “drapes were covering from her breast area to her feet and were tucked in under her.” She “felt that Warren was being aggressive massaging her.”
He “then [took] his hand and start[ed] to put his hand under the drapes while still touching her.” She said, “It felt as if he was using his fingertips to touch her.”
After he groped her breast and she became uncomfortable, he “kept trying to speak to her and would not leave the room.” She continued to ask him to leave, but he acted as if nothing happened and asked her if they ‘were good.
The victim reported the incident to the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office on January 23 “but felt like she was playing phone tag through text messages.” She said she “felt like she was chasing the deputies to get anyone to call her back.”
She spoke with the chiropractic business owner, who informed her that Warren had “confessed that he had a lapse in judgment” and they fired him.
When she called the sheriff’s office to advise them of his confession and termination, they told her that “Warren refused to speak to them by phone” and she needed to go and take out her own warrants in Magistrate Court.
She expressed frustration with how her case was handled and felt hesitant to come to a different agency, fearing that she would be treated the same way again. She submitted forms, statements, and emails to deputies to the police department as evidence.
She also discovered that Warren’s massage license had expired while he was “still practicing.”
This case is pending in court.

On 01/29/2024, Officer J. Miller #130 & I, made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] at the Glynn County Police headquarters regarding a sex offense. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that the incident occurred at 92 Village at Glynn Place (Family Health Chiropractic).
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that she has been a client of Family Health Chiropractic. Six months ago her message therapist changed so she had to get a new therapist, STUART WARREN. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Warren was a therapist that could mimic her old therapist.
On the day of her appointment (January 22nd, 2024), [REDACTED BY AGENCY] arrived as usual to her appointment. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] explained to Warren the issues on her body that she was experiencing. Warren advised [REDACTED BY AGENCY] that he knew what areas to “focus” on.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that she does not remember specific details but could remember some things that stood out to her that day. She initially did not see those as “red flags”. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised it was odd that there was music being played in her room that day, this usually never happens. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] thought it was also unusual that the “draping” they normally have in the rooms was lower.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] proceeded to take off her clothes as she normally does. She stated she normally only leaves her underwear on. Warren began massaging her as usual. She described several areas on her body that Warren began massaging.
While laying face down, Warren started to reach over her arm in a “funny” way. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she shifted her arm over her head as she normally would. The massage tables are set up so there is nothing around the head portion of the bed. She advised that she lowered her hand thinking her arm was resting on a table/chair. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised she did not realize her arm was resting on Warren’s leg the entire time until Warren moved his leg. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised she felt mortified knowing she had her hand on his leg. Warren did not say anything to her when this occurred.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that Warren kept asking her “what do you want me to do next? Where do you want me to concentrate?”. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she felt aggravated by this since he should already know what he needed to do per their conversation earlier. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she thinks Warren has asked her these questions before in prior massages.
Warren later tells [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to get on her back after the first massage. Once on her back Warren asked her, “what do you want me to do?”. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] tells him to work on her neck. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised Warren began massaging her. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] felt that she was falling asleep.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised she felt a “weird rustling” with the drapes. This immediately made her think that Warren lifted up her drape and looked under them. The drapes were covering from her breast area to her feet and were tucked in under her.
While Warren was massaging her neck, she felt that Warren was being aggressive massaging her. Warren then takes his hand and starts to put his hand under the drapes while still touching her. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised it felt as if he was using his fingertips to touch her. At one point, his hand goes from her breast slowly down to the upper band of her underwear. He then comes back up vigorously with biofreeze on his hand and gropes her entire breast.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised she immediately pulled her arm up reacting to this. Warren then pulls away from her. He stated to her “Oh my God I think I crossed the line” numerous times. He later said “Oh my God but you touched my leg in the beginning and I thought you wanted more”. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated to him she thought she was touching the table. Again, Warren is still telling her he crossed the line. Warren kept trying to speak to her and would not leave the room. Shortly after she advised him to leave, Warren acted as if nothing happened and asked her if they “were good?”.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that after this incident occurred she did not know what to do. She attempted to speak with several individuals she trusts regarding this incident. At one point one of her friends provided her with the number for Deputy Koenig at the Glynn County Sheriffs Office. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised she reached out to Koenig but felt like she was playing phone tag through text messages.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Deputy Koenig finally had Deputy Sarah Demonbrom call her. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that she met with Deputy Demonbrom at the Sheriff Office. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was advised her statement was taken and that she could decide at a later time if she wanted to press charges regarding this incident.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] made a report with the Sheriffs Office on Tuesday, January 23rd. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was provided with a case number for this and was advised to take her time in deciding. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised she felt like she was chasing the deputies to get anyone to call her back. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] attempted to call and leave voicemail. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] finally made contact with Deputy Brit and advised her she wanted to move forward with pressing charges against Warren.
Before receiving a phone call regarding her case [REDACTED BY AGENCY] spoke with the owner of the business. [REDACTED] is one of the owners. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] made her aware of the situation. Later that day (Friday), she was advised that Warren was fired from the practice. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was also advised that Warren “confessed” that he had a lapse in judgement.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised she called the GCSO to advise them of this. However she was advised that contact was made with Warren and Warren refused to speak to them by phone. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was later advised she needed to go and take out her own warrants in Magistrate Court. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] expressed she was frustrated with how her case was handled. She advised she felt hesitant to come to a different agency fearing that she would be treated the same way again.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] provided me with several forms and statements she filled out and submitted to the state. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] also had e mails she sent Deputies. I was provided with copies of those. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] also discovered that Warren’s massage license was expired and he is still practicing, she provided me with a copy she found.
I provided [REDACTED BY AGENCY] with a case number and Victims Bill of Rights Pamphlet. She was provided with my e-mail address in case she needed to reach out.
