TIFT COUNTY, Ga. – A Tifton woman has been arrested after authorities discovered a fetus in a dumpster outside an apartment complex early Thursday, police said.
Emergency responders were called to Brookfield Mews Apartments around 6 a.m. for a report of an unconscious, bleeding woman, according to the Tifton Police Department. Authorities have sent the child’s remains to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Lab for an autopsy. Further details, including the child’s age, may be released following the completion of the autopsy.
