JONES COUNTY, Ga. – A Jones County Sheriff’s sergeant arrested a 19-year-old female for assaulting her 10-year-old sister over eating the remainder of the bacon. In addition to slapping her sibling in the face, Gabriell Walker caused massive destruction inside the Macon home.

The sergeant responded to the Jasmine Drive residence regarding a domestic dispute and could hear yelling inside as he approached. He noted that he walked into a “destroyed house.”

He observed mirrors pulled off the walls, pieces of furniture overturned, dishes scattered all over the floor, and beads and hair products broken and spread out in all directions.

He saw that Walker breathed heavily as she explained that she became upset because she was not fed. She said her grandmother showed favoritism towards her younger sister and admitted to slapping her.

Their grandmother explained that she had cooked bacon for her granddaughters, and they requested more. The 10-year-old child ate the last pieces, and Walker became upset and attacked her sister.

In an attempt to stop the attack and protect the younger child, the grandmother tried to barricade Walker inside a closet. She said she believed Walker’s violence was progressing and mentioned hearing about her possessing a firearm.

The sergeant advised her to search the home and Walker’s room for the suspected gun.

The victim stated that her older sister became upset with her over food and slapped her on the side of her face with an open hand.

The sergeant transported Walker to the Jones County Detention Center, where she faces charges of first-degree child cruelty – maliciously causing excessive pain and criminal trespass. This case is pending in court.

I Sgt. T. Walker responded to a domestic incident on Jasmine Dr. While enroute dispatch was giving me updates stating that the alleged offender was destroying the house and being combative.

Upon arrival at the residence I hear yelling and walked into a destroyed house. Furniture was turned over, mirrors were off the wall, beads and hair products were broken and all over the floor. Dishes were on the floor and the alleged offender was breathing heavily. I asked what happened and Gabriell Walker stated to me that she was upset because she was not fed and her grand mother [VICTIM #1] was showing favoritism towards her 10 year old sister [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Gabriell also stated to me that she slapped her sister because she was upset and in retaliation for her actions towards her.

The complainant [VICTIM #1] stated she cooked bacon for her grand daughters and they wanted more. The younger grand daughter ate the last pieces and Gabriell got upset and attacked her younger sister. The complainant informed me that she attempted to barricade/block Gabriell in a closet to protect [REDACTED BY AGENCY] from continuing to be attacked by Gabriell before my arrival. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated to me that she was sitting on the sofa in the living room and Gabriell became upset with her over food and slapped her on the side of her face with an open hand.

I arrested Gabriell and charged her with cruelty to children and criminal trespass for the damages that she caused inside of the home. The family states that the offender violence seems to be progressing and they heard some mention of a possible gun that is owned by the offender. I instructed the complainant to search the residence and room of the offender in an attempt to locate said firearm. The offender was transported to the Jones County LEC by Deputy Dennis. The 911 call also contained some evidence that supported this case.
