The following was taken from a press release distributed by the Marietta Police Department on November 8, 2023:
COBB COUNTY, Ga. – On Saturday evening November 4, 2023, several individuals had gathered outside the residence at 354 Roosevelt Circle in Marietta. A verbal argument took place between twenty-eight-year-old Kiyanna Brito of Woodstock and thirty-six-year-old Tyeshia Price of Marietta.
At some point in the verbal argument, Price struck Brito’s face with her fist. The argument escalated and at approximately 8:00 PM Brito produced a .40 caliber Glock 23 pistol and shot Price in the neck, resulting in her death.
Brito was arrested this morning and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center facing the following charges: Aggravated Assault (F), Possession of Firearm During Commission of a Crime (F), and Homicide – Murder (F).
