DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – A woman is safe after being kidnapped Tuesday afternoon during a home invasion in DeKalb County, according to police.

Authorities said a man called 911 around 2:15 p.m. from a home on Cindy Drive to report that three armed men forced their way inside and took a woman. He told officers the suspects pointed guns at him before forcing the woman into a waiting car. He suffered minor injuries in the incident.

Officers later spotted the suspects’ vehicle on Bobolink Drive and pulled it over. Police said two suspects ran from the scene. Another person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries and is expected to be charged with home invasion, aggravated assault, and kidnapping once released.

Investigators believe the woman knew at least one of the suspects and had argued with him before the kidnapping.

The woman was found safe, police said.
