[NARRATIVE #1 On September 21, 2025]
On the date and time above I (OFC Sontay) responded to a Domestic at [20 BLOCK] Woodberry Dr. While en-route, Dispatch advised the offender was leaving in a black Dodge Journey and had the Tag information. Dispatch advised the victim was able to give a name of the offender which was Ashshonae Ware.
Sgt Whaley was able to do a traffic stop on the vehicle on Armuchee Connector at Old Dalton Rd and PFC Vicente arrived on scene with Sgt Whaley a few moments afterward. The driver was confirmed to be Ashshonae Akierra Ware. PFC Pelanek arrived at [20 BLOCK] Woodberry Dr before me and advised there would be charges against the offender. Upon arrival I saw the Victim, [VICTIM #1] sitting in the living room on the couch with blood all over her hands, legs, and face.
I asked [VICTIM #1] what happened and she advised she got dropped off at the residence after hanging out with some friends. [VICTIM #1] advised she heard knocking on the front door and she asked who it was. [VICTIM #1] advised Ashshonae identified herself. [VICTIM #1] advised she told Ashshonae to wait till [REDACTED] to come back from work. [VICTIM #1] advised [REDACTED] was the one renting out the residence and she did not live there and was only dropped off.
[VICTIM #1] advised Ashshonae walked at the back of the residence and entered from the back door. [VICTIM #1] advised the back door was always unlocked which is how Ashshonae entered. [VICTIM #1] advised Ashshonae started to get things out of the fridge while she went to the hallway and spoke to [REDACTED]’s brother over the phone. [VICTIM #1] advised while she was on the phone, Ashshonae jumped on her grabbed her by her hair and dragged her into the kitchen. [VICTIM #1] advised she tried to protect herself but Ashshonae pulled her hair and hand continuing to hit her.
[VICTIM #1] advised she didn’t know exactly what different objects she was hit with but knew for certain that she was hit with an aluminum cookie can which was found laying in the kitchen floor. [VICTIM #1] advised she tried to run outside but Ashshonae “jerked” her and grabbed an object to hit her. [VICTIM #1] advised she went outside to get Ashshonae’s license plate and vehicle information. [VICTIM #1] advised she told Ashshonae she was going to call law enforcement and Ashshonae got into her face and used her phone to record [VICTIM #1]’s face.
[VICTIM #1] advised she had a restraining order against Ashshonae but did not know if it had gone to court or if it was active. Dispatch confirmed Ashshonae had a valid no contact restraining order against her and was not supposed to have any kind of contact with [VICTIM #1] or [REDACTED] but still needed to go to court for it.
I asked [VICTIM #1] how she knew who Ashshonae was. [VICTIM #1] advised they both had kids with [REDACTED]. [VICTIM #1] advised she was not together with [REDACTED] but remained in contact with him for the kids. I asked [VICTIM #1] if [REDACTED] and Ashshonae were in a relationship and she advised they were on and off most of the time.
I walked to the kitchen and saw a lot of blood over the floor and counters. I asked [VICTIM #1] if she could identify anything that was damaged and she advised it didn’t look like anything was damaged. There was a necklace on the stove and I asked [VICTIM #1] if that was hers and she advised it was. [VICTIM #1] advised Ashshonae broke the necklace but she didn’t know how much it was worth since it was a gift from her mother. [VICTIM #1] advised Ashshonae was supposed to be taking fruits and cereal which where found on the floor.
[VICTIM #1] sustained a laceration on her nose which caused a lot of bleeding. [VICTIM #1]’s nose was swollen causing [VICTIM #1] to sniff when breathing and talking and looked like it had began to gain a slight bruising color. [VICTIM #1] advised she had a nose ring on her nose but it came out during the altercation. I asked [VICTIM #1] if she had any other injuries besides her nose and she advised no. [VICTIM #1] was checked by EMS but advised she would not be going in the ambulance. [VICTIM #1] advised she would go to the hospital to get her nose checked out.
[REDACTED] arrived at the residence while we spoke to [VICTIM #1]. [REDACTED] was asked if he wanted to press charges against Ashshonae for entering the residence without permission and he advised no. I advised [VICTIM #1], Ashshonae was arrested and I would be making charges against her. [VICTIM #1] advised she would be waiting for her mother to pick her up from the scene.
PFC Vicente placed Ashshonae under arrest and transported her at the Floyd County Jail. I arrived at the jail to complete the paperwork for Ashshonae’s charges. PFC Pelanek also arrived at the Floyd County Jail were he asked Ashshonae some questions in reference to the altercation (Refer to PFC Pelanek report for details of the interview).

[NARRATIVE #2 On September 21, 2025]
On September 21, 2025 I answered a call at [20 BLOCK] Woodberry Dr. When I arrived EMS was already on scene. I walked into the apartment and noticed a female by the name [VICTIM #1] sitting on the couch with blood all over her hands arms and legs. The EMS personnel was already treating her for a cut on the bridge of her nose.
I looked around the apartment and I noticed a tin cookie container on the floor and also two different aerosol cans on the floor. I noticed a bunch of fruit that had been tossed all over the floor. When I turned to the left in the kitchen I saw blood all over the counter and floor. When I asked her the name of the person who did the she gave me the name of Ashshonae Ware who is the baby mother of the male who lives there.
Pfc. Vicente and Sgt. Whaley had Ashshonae stopped on the Armuchee Conn. I advised them that we will have charges on her. Pfc. Vicente then placed her under arrest. Pfc. Sontay and myself asked [VICTIM #1] if she knew what she was hit with and she pointed at the tin container saying that she knows for sure it was that and then said that she had hit her with other items but didn’t know what because she was trying to protect herself. She also said that Ashshonae also either sat or was on the counter hitting her and pulling her hair breaking a neckless and knocking out a nose ring.
I seen the neckless that was broke part of it was on the stove and part of it was on the ground. The nose ring was still on the counter where the beating took place. When asked what started the fight she told us that she and Ashshonae share the same baby daddy and that Ashshonae showed up to the apartment to get some food and she knocked on the front door and [VICTIM #1] told her that she would have to wait for [REDACTED] who is the renter of the place got home from work. She then said that Ashshonae then went to the back of the building and entered through the back door that is never locked and that’s when the beating took place.
Pfc. Vicente and Sgt. Whaley said that they had to wait for someone to come pick up the two kids and the vehicle. I asked dispatch to check to see if there was a conditional bond between the two parties. Dispatch confirmed that there was one and was contacting the Jail to see if it was valid. Dispatch told me that if they had not gone to court for the other charges that it was still valid. Talking to [VICTIM #1] she said that they have not gone to court yet.
Myself and Pfc. Sontay went to the Floyd County jail where we then met with Ashshonae I read her the Miranda Warning and she agreed to speak with me. I asked her if the kids were in the vehicle when all this took place and she said no that she just picked them up. I also told her the charges that we are taking on her.
