On March 1, 2026, I Lt Rusty Williams, along with Officer World were dispatched to a report of a domestic disturbance and fight involving a firearm at [SINGLE DIGIT BLOCK] York Drive. I met with the complainant upon my arrival, [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #1] stated that earlier in the day the offender, Brandi BOYKIN and he, who reside together at [SINGLE DIGIT BLOCK] York Drive were at a friends house and BOYKIN had been drinking. [VICTIM #1] stated that he wished to go home, and BOYKIN did not want to leave with him. [VICTIM #1] returned to the residence at [SINGLE DIGIT BLOCK] York and sometime later BOYKIN arrived. [VICTIM #1] stated that he told BOYKIN that he wanted to end the relationship and she would have to find somewhere else to live.
BOYKIN became enraged and grabbed a Glock model 42 pistol, .380 caliber (serial number AEWC399) and pointed it at [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that BOYKIN did then place the barrel of the firearm under her chin. [VICTIM #1] grabbed the firearm, and then stated that as he attempted to take the firearm, BOYKIN bit him on the finger, drawing blood and leaving a mark. At that point, [VICTIM #1] stated that as they wrestled for control of the firearm, he did strike BOYKIN, causing her to release the firearm. [VICTIM #1] then stated that BOYKIN fled the residence prior to the arrival of police. [VICTIM #1] was given a victim’s bill of rights, a victim;s notification supplemental was completed and an effort was made to located BOYKIN.
BOYKIN’s vehicle was located at the Fairfield Inn at the Rome Tennis Center, her room number was obtained, but BOYKIN failed to answer the door. On March 2,2026 I obtained a warrant for BOYKIN for Aggravated Assault (FVA), and was told that BOYKIN had called prior to my arrival on duty and I spoke with BOYKIN and arranged to meet her at the Floyd County Jail. I read the Miranda Warning to BOYKIN and asked her what happened. She stated that she did have the gun, but stated that she did not point it at [VICTIM #1]. BOYKIN also denied remembering biting [VICTIM #1].
BOYKIN was booked in on the charges of Aggravated Assault and Battery (FVA), without further incident.
