On February 17, 2025, I Pfc. Flippo was dispatched to [80 BLOCK] Morrison Campground Rd for a domestic. Dispatch advised the female complainant stated her uncle was at the residence beating on the door. Dispatch updated the male subject did leave the residence.

When I arrived on scene, the complainant, [VICTIM #1], stated her uncle, Christopher Meers, went to the residence wanting his building keys. She stated he was banging on the front door of the residence very loudly. She stated when she did not open the door, Christopher forced his way through the front door and forced entry in to the residence. There was damage on the door where Christopher was kicking it. There was black marks and small dents as well as minor damage to the door frame. [VICTIM #1] stated he was only able to get his foot inside the residence before she shoved him back out of the house. [VICTIM #1] was standing directly behind the front door and could have received a violent injury when Christopher forced his way in to the home. [VICTIM #1] advised she was 8 months pregnant. [VICTIM #1]s husband, [VICTIM #2], was in the living room at the time of the incident as well as [VICTIM #1]s 10 year old son, [VICTIM #3]. [VICTIM #1] stated that when Christopher was banging on the door, [VICTIM #3] was so scared that he had to go get a baseball bat in fear of being hurt or that Christopher would become physically violent. [VICTIM #1] stated she was afraid that Christopher was going to make it inside the residence and become physically violent. [VICTIM #1] also stated their house was not the first that night that Christopher went to, acting irate. [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] stated Christopher left their residence squealing tires and throwing gravel with his tires. They both advised Christopher was driving a white work van with no lettering. [VICTIM #1] also stated that Christopher was intoxicated at the time that he was at the residence.

After I left [80 BLOCK] Morrison Campground Rd, I was searching for the suspected vehicle that Christopher was driving. Dispatch advised Christopher lived at [200 BLOCK] Acorn Rd. I searched the area of Acorn Rd and drove by the residence to see if there was a white work van that matched the description of Christophers vehicle that he was driving. I was able to identify the white van located at [200 BLOCK] Acorn Rd. I waited for another unit due to the possibility of Christopher becoming violent. Myself, Ofc. Smith, and Capt. Hovers attempted to make contact with Christopher. His wife answered the door and advised he was downstairs in the basement. Ofc. Smith went to where the basement was located and waited for Christopher to walk outside. When he came out, Ofc. Smith immediately placed Christopher in handcuffs. Miranda Warning was read to Christopher and he agreed to answer questions. He stated he went to [VICTIM #1]s house because she worked for him and he needed his building keys. When asked if he forced entry in to the home, he advised he did not. He also advised he did not get verbally violent or damage any property. I advised him [VICTIM #3] was a witness to what happened and was in the living room at the time of the incident. He stated he had been home the last several hours. When I asked Christopher if he would agree to a PBT, he agreed. He proceeded to ask me what the reasoning for the test was if he was at home at the time of his arrest. I advised him that it was brought to our attention that he was intoxicated at the time of the incident. He then stated he no longer agreed to the test.

I placed Christopher in the back of my patrol car and transported him to the Floyd County Jail. I asked Ofc. Smith to go back to [80 BLOCK] Morrison Campground Rd to do a victim notification form and to get [VICTIM #3]s statement of what happened. Ofc. Smith stated [VICTIM #3] advised that Christopher was screaming and cussing and was beating on the front door at their house. He stated he was scared and had to get a ball bat to use as protection. His statement was recorded on Ofc. Smiths body cam #40.

When we arrived at the jail, I was able to smell the odor of alcohol on Christophers breath. When asked how many he had to drink, he stated he had one when he got home.
