On November 30th 2025, I responded to [100 BLOCK] Tremont Dr. for a heated domestic. While in-route we were notified that the step dad Desmond had pulled a gun and chambered a round. When Pfc. Sontay and I arrived we were met by [WITNESS #1] in the garage. While we started talking to here I could hear yelling and screaming in the house. I entered the house through the kitchen and that is when I noticed that Desmond Stocks and [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #2] where in a very heated argument. I had to raise my voice a few time just to get them to quit yelling.

I asked where the gun was and [WITNESS #1] took me into a separate room where there are two beds and a TV. She pointed to the bed closes to the wall and told me that she thinks he put it back under the mattress. When I lifted the mattress I saw the hand gun laying there. I then took the gun and unloaded the magazine and then checked to see if there was one in the chamber. I did not find a bullet in the chamber but there was four bullets in the magazine. I told dispatch that I have the gun in my possession and then ran it through GCIC.

I asked [WITNESS #1] what had happened and she told me that her two kids live with them and that Desmond does not like it and she had asked [VICTIM #1] to come up and do the dishes and he did not want to and told her that he worked and is tired. [WITNESS #1] said that she then went and was talking to Desmond and that he got really upset and that’s when they started arguing. Desmond and [VICTIM #1] started going after each other and [WITNESS #1] said that she got in between them and Desmond reached over her and hit [VICTIM #1] in the head.

The two ended up in the room and got physical with each other and they ended up on the bed. [WITNESS #1] said next thing she knows is Desmond pulled out the gun and then put the gun into [VICTIM #1] rib cage. Theats when she told [WITNESS #2] to call the Police. [WITNESS #1] said that she really did not know what he was planning on doing that he lost it. While talking to her the other three started yelling at each other again so I ended going into the kitchen and detaining Desmond and taking him outside. Desmond got upset and asked why I just arrested him without hearing his side of the story. We again told him he was just being detained at this time because of how heated and mad he was.

I then went and talked with [VICTIM #1] and he told me the same thing his mother said and he also said he did not notice the gun until someone yelled to put the gun down. I then asked [WITNESS #2] what she saw and she said that she saw then two fighting and that Desmond pulled a gun and placed a round in the chamber. She told me that she did have a crutch and started hitting him. Then put it down and called the Police.

I then went back outside and talked with Desmond who told me that they did get into an altercation and that he did pull out a gun for his protection. He said that they started gaining up on him and he need to do something. When asked about putting a round in the chamber he said he did not do that and then I asked about putting the gun into the side of [VICTIM #1] and he also denied it.

Pfc. Sontay and I talked and I felt I had enough to place Desmond under arrest and patted him down and placed him in my patrol car. I then transported Desmond to the Floyd County Jail without any problems.

Handcuffs checked for fit and double locked

Backseat checked before and after transport
