[NARRATIVE #1 on October 10, 2025]
On the date and time listed above I, PFC. J. BODENHEIMER, was dispatched to the listed address in reference to a man that had possibly been cut.
Upon arrival we were informed that DONNIE LINGERFELT had been stabbed and his girlfriend, [WITNESS #1], was taking him to the hospital. I began speaking with [VICTIM #1] who stated that he had accidentally stabbed DONNIE. [VICTIM #1] stated that DONNIE, [WITNESS #1], [WITNESS #2], and himself were hanging out in his shed where he lived and [WITNESS #1] was showing them some kind of Artificial Intelligence (AI) stuff on her phone. [VICTIM #1] said that DONNIE began to get very upset because he did not like cell phones and he felt that they were taking pictures of him. DONNIE continued to get upset and [VICTIM #1] ended up telling them to leave. [VICTIM #1] said that they all left and DONNIE was yelling while going outside.
[VICTIM #1] said that shortly thereafter DONNIE kicked his door in and stepped into the doorway with a knife in his right hand. [VICTIM #1] said that he immediately grabbed two knives that he had laying on his coffee table for self defense. [VICTIM #1] stated that DONNIE then sat down on his couch and began saying that he was going to stab him while holding the knife in an aggressive manner.
[VICTIM #1] said that DONNIE grabbed his left arm with his right arm aggressively and when he did this [VICTIM #1] said that he tried to push DONNIE away with his left arm. [VICTIM #1] said that when he went to push DONNIE that is when the knife in his left arm punctured DONNIE’s right arm causing him to begin bleeding. DONNIE then ran out of the shed began yelling for someone to call 911. [VICTIM #1] said that he was not sure what happened after that and that we showed up shortly thereafter. I asked [VICTIM #1] to fill out a witness statement form which was collected and attached to the report.
While [VICTIM #1] began working on his statement form I began speaking with [WITNESS #2] who was in the yard when DONNIE was stabbed. [WITNESS #2] stated that [VICTIM #1], DONNIE, [WITNESS #1], and himself were inside of [VICTIM #1]’s shed looking at some AI stuff on [WITNESS #1]’s phone. [WITNESS #2] said that DONNIE began very agitated and [VICTIM #1] told them all to leave. [WITNESS #2] said that he had to walk DONNIE out of the shed and while doing so DONNIE began yelling that he was going to beat the “Hell” out of him.
[WITNESS #2] said that DONNIE then walked away and he felt as if the issue was over. [WITNESS #2] then began raking the yard and he looked up and saw DONNIE standing on [VICTIM #1]’s porch. [WITNESS #2] said the next thing he knew was that DONNIE was running out of the shed saying that [VICTIM #1] had stabbed him. [WITNESS #2] said that he could see the blood running down DONNIE’s arm and that DONNIE immediately got into [WITNESS #1]’s car and they left presumably to go to the hospital. [WITNESS #2] did say that DONNIE had been drinking all day and that he was heavily intoxicated. I then had [WITNESS #2] fill out a witness statement form also.
While waiting on [WITNESS #2] and [VICTIM #1] to finish their witness statement forms I began trying to get in touch with [WITNESS #1] who had supposedly already dropped DONNIE off at th hospital and had already left. [WITNESS #1] stated that she was going home to check on her son and that she would be returning to the hospital shortly. Knowing that I would be going to the hospital to try and get a statement from DONNIE I told [WITNESS #1] that I would meet with her there.
Once I left the residence I went up to the REDMOND hospital where DONNIE was being treated to get a statement from him. While at the hospital DONNIE looked at me and then began to act like he was asleep and would not acknowledge my presence. I then went outside to see where [WITNESS #1] was and when I called her she stated that she would be staying where she currently was for the rest of the night and not coming back to the hospital.
While on the phone with [WITNESS #1] I asked her what had happened and she stated that she did not know and that she did not even leave the front yard and just saw DONNIE walk out bleeding. I went back inside the hospital and spoke with Nurse [WITNESS #3] and Dr. [WITNESS #4] who stated that while at the hospital DONNIE began yelling that he was going to kill that “Mother F*cker”. but would not tell anyone who had stabbed him.
While at the hospital DONNIE “woke up” and I began asking him what had happened. DONNIE kept saying that he had no clue and that he had no clue how he had even gotten to the hospital or where he was prior to his arrival at the hospital. Based on the testimonial evidence at the scene along with the physical evidence located on DONNIE’S right arm corroborated [VICTIM #1]’S testimonial evidence that DONNIE grabbed [VICTIM #1]’S left arm which led to DONNIE received a puncture wound. DONNIE was placed in handcuffs that were double locked and checked for fit. DONNIE was placed in the back of my patrol car and transported to Floyd County Jail.
While on the way to jail DONNIE began telling me that him and [VICTIM #1] were arguing because [VICTIM #1] was flirting with his girlfriend. I asked DONNIE who his girlfriend was and he stated that he did not know her name but he knew her phone number. I asked if it was [WITNESS #1] and he said that it was.
DONNIE said that him and [VICTIM #1] began arguing when no one else was in [VICTIM #1]’s shed and that while they were arguing [VICTIM #1] leaned over and stabbed DONNIE in the right arm. DONNIE said that I needed to call [WITNESS #1] because she would say the same thing. I told DONNIE that I had already spoken with [WITNESS #1] and she had told me that she did not see anything happen.
DONNIE was transported to Floyd County Jail where he was medically cleared and taken into custody by jail staff. Once I was done at the jail I went and met with [WITNESS #1] to get her side of the story. [WITNESS #1] stated that [VICTIM #1], DONNIE, [WITNESS #2], and herself were all inside of [VICTIM #1]’s shed looking at some AI stuff on her phone. [WITNESS #1] said that DONNIE began getting very upset and that DONNIE stormed off.
[WITNESS #1] said that DONNIE was mumbling something but that she could not understand him. [WITNESS #1] that she walked outside and was talking to someone in the back yard and next thing she knew was that DONNIE was running out of [VICTIM #1]’s shed bleeding. [WITNESS #1] stated that someone there told her not to call 911 and that she just needed to take him to the hospital. [WITNESS #1] said thats he drove DONNIE to the hospital and dropped him off so that she could go and check on her son at home.

[NARRATIVE #2 on October 10, 2025]
On the above date and time I responded to Advent Medical Center assisting Pfc. Bodenheimer in reference to Donnie Lingerfelt being stabbed at [500 BLOCK] Old Dalton Road.
Upon arriving I spoke with [WITNESS #3] who was Donnie’s nurse that was taking care of him. [WITNESS #3] advised me that a female had dropped Donnie off at the Emergency Room and left. I asked if Donnie had stated anything to them to which she stated that he had not. I attempted to speak with Donnie but he was not responding and was believed to be acting as if he was asleep due to the injuries that he had sustained would not be causing him to be unresponsive.
Donnie finally acknowledged my presence when I told him that if he went back to [500 BLOCK] Old Dalton Road that he would go to Jail. Donnie began cussing me calling me a “b*tch” and “mother f*cker” stating that I could not stop him from going home. Donnie calmed down and I was able to ask him what happened to which he stated he did not know. I asked Donnie who stabbed him to which he stated he did not know who stabbed him, where it happened at or how he got the emergency room. Donnie began mumbling other incoherent things stating that he had been at the armuchee creek.
I was advised by [WITNESS #3] that Donnie had came in with a knife that was in the possession of Security personnel. I left briefly and returned once I realized that I had not taken the knife for evidentiary purposes after speaking and gathering more facts about the incident with Pfc. Bodenheimer.
Upon returning to Advent Medical Center [WITNESS #3] began advising me that Donnie had been making statements of ” I’m going to kill that mother f*cker” repeatedly. [WITNESS #3] stated that when he was asked who he was talking about Donnie replied saying “he did not know but he was going to look him up”. These threats were heard by [WITNESS #3] and Dr. [WITNESS #4] and believed to be made towards [VICTIM #1]. The knife was collected for evidence which was in the possession of [REDACTED] who works in security for Advent Medical Center.
Pfc. Bodenheimer and I returned to Advent Medical Center once all facts of the case had been investigated for the purposes of placing Donnie under arrest for the above listec charges. Once Donnie was released as a patient and was cleared for jail, Donnie was placed in handcuffs by Pfc. Bodenheimer.
