On November 29, 2025 at 16:58 I, Pfc Carranza was dispatched to a suspicious person call at [10 BLOCK] old freeman Rd. Complaint advised dispatch he is acting crazy, shot gun toward complainant and he is about 40 ft away. they also advised suspect lives at #[REDACTED]

Mr [VICTIM #1] advised himself and his mother were at their front porch when suspect was making threats at them while holding a rifle. He also said he was at his property but walking toward them. He fired a shot at them, but did not hit them.

Mrs. [VICTIM #2] advised that Mr. Jason has always been acting crazy, but this time they felt threatened for their lives when they were sitting on their front porch and noticed Mr. Jason holding a rifle while walking toward them. she said he fired one shot but did not hit them. They both advised they have cameras. I asked then to find a video of this interaction while I spoke to Mr. Jason.

I walked to the house next door to speak with Mr. Jason. I asked if he owned a fire arm and if he shot one today. He denied he own one, and that he shot one at first. I advised him the neighbors had surveillance cameras so it would be best to be honest. He then advised he owned one, but he uses it to shot at coyotes only. He then mentioned he shot one toward the back of the house. I advised him of the laws and regulations firing a weapon while living in the county, and also the distance from the road way and being surrounded of homes. I advised him i was aware of the constant bickering back and forth with the neighbors advised him it was not a good idea to have a argument with the neighbors while holding a weapon, since it could mean some sort of intimidation. I also advised him to let me know where he was at when he fired the shot. the spot was about 20 yards form the porch next door. he then mentioned he fired a shot toward the top of the tree.

Mr. [VICTIM #1] was able to show me a video where you can hear the shot being fire at 14:54. after he pointed the rifle at them, he said they look away when he shot, when they look back at him he was just lowering the rifle to the ground. I asked them to write an statement form since they wanted to press charges.

I walked down to the street made contact with Mr, Jason who was finishing up feeding his dogs. advised him he was under arrest, placed in in hand cuffs and put him in the back of my squad car where he was transported to the Floyd County Jail where he was admitted with out any issues.
