On the above date I was dispatched to a hit and run at GA 1s at GA 411s. When I arrived I saw [VICTIM #1] pointing down 411 stating a gray Toyota Camry rear-ended her and drove off. I told her to stay where she was and I continued down 411 to try and locate the second vehicle to no avail. I returned to the scene while PFC World continued the search. I gathered [VICTIM #1]’s information and went back into service, This is when a cave springs unit spotted a vehicle matching the deception with front end damage at Flatrock Baptist church. The Cave springs unit ran the tag of the vehicle and the license of the driver (PETTIGREW, LESLIE ROBIN). The license came back showing Leslie had an warrant but the tag [REDACTED] would not come back.

When I arrived I read Leslie Miranda rights and asked her about the wreck. Leslie stated she did rear end the vehicle and left because she was scared. I smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle I asked Leslie if anyone had smoked marijuana in her vehicle to which she stated she had a friend who had recently. When searching the vehicle we found nothing of interest.

After running the VIN of the vehicle we found out the tag [REDACTED] through Alabama should of been on it. The tag came back expired registration and no valid insurance.

I then transported Leslie to the county jail without issue.
