On February 16, 2026, at approximately 0325 hours, FTO Blankenship and I (OFC Chorjel) were dispatched to call [VICTIM #1] about a FVA battery made against her and her [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Officers then met with [VICTIM #1] off site to speak with her but also keep all parties separated while investigating the battery. While speaking with [VICTIM #1], I took photos of [VICTIM #1]’s left eye which was bruised and uploaded the photos to evidence.com.
[VICTIM #1] stated that her husband (Marcus Pinson) had punched her on her face and then punched [REDACTED BY AGENCY] when [REDACTED BY AGENCY] attempted to step in between his parents fighting. [VICTIM #1] stated that Marcus was angry after catching her talking to another man on her phone. [VICTIM #1] went on to state that she had fled her home after and called from her brother’s phone because Marcus had taken her phone after punching her. [VICTIM #1] stated that she was worried for her children’s safety and wanted to go back to the home to get her four children. The children in the residence include thirteen year old boy [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Marcus who stated that nothing had happened and that everyone at the residence was asleep. Officers informed Marcus that we were there to investigate a battery (FVA) involving not only [VICTIM #1] but there son [REDACTED BY AGENCY] as well. After entering the residence, Marcus called his son [REDACTED BY AGENCY] out to speak with FTO Blankenship outside while I (OFC Chorjel) spoke with Marcus inside.
Marcus stated that nothing had happened and that he had not hit [VICTIM #1] or [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Marcus did state that he walked into the residence to find [VICTIM #1] talking on her phone with another man and took [VICTIM #1]’s phone away from her to see who she was talking to. Marcus again denied that any physical contact had occured.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated while speaking with FTO Blankenship that he heard banging noises coming from the living room and came out to see Marcus punching [VICTIM #1]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] goes on to state that as he tried to intervene, he too was struck in the face by his father Marcus.
FTO Blankenship then spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who stated that she also heard yelling, banging noises coming [REDACTED BY AGENCY] from the living room. Upon entering the living room, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she saw Marcus punching her mother [VICTIM #1] and then saw Marcus punching her brother [REDACTED BY AGENCY] after intervening.
[VICTIM #1] was given a victim notification pamphlet and a Victim Notification Form was filled out. After [VICTIM #1] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were reunited, broke down in tears while being held in his mother’s arms.
Marcus was placed under arrest with handcuffs to the rear, checked for tightness, and double locked. Marcus was then transported to the Floyd County Jail and booked for 1st degree Cruelty to Children, 3rd degree Cruelty to Children X2, Battery (FVA), and Simple Battery (FVA). A search of the rear seat was searched before and after transport and confirmed there was not any contraband in the vehicle.
