[NARRATIVE #1 on March 29, 2026]

On March 29, 2026 at approximately 1928 hours, FTO Blankenship and I (OFC Chorjel) were dispatched to a domestic located at [600 BLOCK] Redmond Rd APT [REDACTED], Rome, GA 30165.

Upon arrival, I saw a man and women standing outside of the apartment next to a pile of miscellaneous items sitting on the sidewalk. The man, Kwalic Dublin stated that he had been arguing and fighting with his girlfriend, later identified as Shakira Jett, and just wanted her to leave the apartment. Kwalic stated that he had been cooking dinner and Shakira became angry about the dishes being dirty. Kwalic goes on to state that he did not want Shakira to get into any trouble but just wanted her to leave.

As Kwalic was explaining the nature of the argument, his Brother, [WITNESS #1] stepped outside and told Kwalic to show me his bandage. Kwalic proceeded to show me a bandage on his left arm and stated that Shakira had cut him with what he believed to be a can opener during their argument. Kwalic stated that this happened several hours earlier and it was later discovered that he received thirteen stitches in his left arm from this incident.

I asked Kwalic if he would show me the area the incident occured to which he agreed. Kwalic showed me the can opener he believed was used to cut him. Kwalic stated that everything had been cleaned since the incident occured.

I then spoke to Shakira who stated that she had become angry about an accusation from Kwalic that she had not cleaned the dishes from the previous day. Shakira goes on to state that she had also become angry after she noticed Kwalic rinsing raw chicken over her breast pump which is used for their shared one month old child. When asked about the cut on Kwalic’s arm, Shakira stated that he must have cut his arm while cutting the chicken.

I then spoke with Kwalic’s Uncle, [WITNESS #2], who was present at the residence about what he had seen and heard. [WITNESS #2] stated that he did not see Kwalic get cut but heard Kwalic and Shakira arguing near the kitchen and by the stairs of the apartment. [WITNESS #2] stated that while the two where arguing, he noticed Shakira leave the kitchen area while “grumbling” something and proceeded to go upstairs. As Shakira is going upstairs, Kwalic walked to the living room and asked to be taken to the hospital while holding the cut on his arm. [WITNESS #2] then called [WITNESS #1] to come pick up Kwalic and Shakira’s child to take to Kwalic’s Father’s house while while Kwalic was at the hospital.

Shakira was then placed under arrest with handcuffs to the rear, checked for tightness, and double locked. While placing Shakira in handcuffs, I overheard Shakira’s Grandmother who she was talking to over the phone state that Shakira was suffering from postpartum depression after the birth of her child one month ago. Shakira was placed in the rear passenger seat of my patrol vehicle and transported to the Floyd County Jail where she was booked for Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Battery.

During a records check, it was discovered that Kwalic Dublin had an active warrant at which point he was arrested by Officer Roden as a warrant service.

[NARRATIVE #2 on March 29, 2026]

While assisting with officer Chorjel’s investigation, it became known that one of the subjects involved, Kwalic Dublin, had active warrants. After the investigation was concluded, I placed Mr. Dublin in handcuffs and transported him to the Floyd County Jail.
