[NARRATIVE #1 on January 08, 2026]

On January 8th, [2026] at approximately 04:23 AM, I, OFC T.Zenga #57, was working a detail at Atrium Floyd Hospital when a alarm came out from the behavior health rooms. Upon my arrival I immediately noticed abrasions and blood on a security guards face. The security guard, [VICTIM #1], stated he had gotten punched in the face multiple times by a patient.

[VICTIM #1] stated the patient, Shombray Heard, asked to use the restroom. [VICTIM #1] unlocked the door and Shombray immediately attacked him unprovoked. [VICTIM #1] stated he grabbed Shombray by the t*sticles and began twisting until he stopped and locked him back in the room to prevent him from attacking him or other patients. [VICTIM #1] suffered minor injuries to his face. Photograph evidence was captured and placed into AXON.

Due to Shombray being on a court ordered 10-13, I spoke with the doctor and had her speak with risk management prior to rescinding the 10-13 and taking him to jail. While that was happening, other officers arrived in case the individual began to attack again. The 10-13 was rescinded and Shombray was placed in handcuffs without further incidents. The handcuffs were double-locked and checked for fit. He was then transported by another officer to Floyd County Jail where he was booked.

[NARRATIVE #2 on January 08, 2026]

On Thursday, January 8, 2026, at approximately 4:23 a.m., Pfc Zenga #57 was working at Atrium Health (Floyd Medical), at 304 Turner McCall Blvd, Rome, GA 30165. He notified dispatch via radio that he needed more officers at the behavioral health department.

When I arrived on the scene, Pfc Zenga briefed me on the situation: a Shombray Heard had punched [VICTIM #1] in the face. At this time, Mr. Heard was a patient at Atrium Health, and Mr. [VICTIM #1] was serving as a security guard there.

Following this, Mr. Heard was placed in a separate room. I was able to speak with him and calm him down. Once the door opened, I issued a verbal command for him to turn around and place his hands behind his back. He complied, and I was able to safely place him under arrest without any further issue. I double-locked the handcuffs and checked their fit, then escorted Mr. Heard to my police car. He was transported to the Floyd County jail without incident and booked on Battery and Disorderly Conduct charges.

The back seat of my patrol car was searched at the beginning of my tour of duty, and after Mr. Heard was released to jail.

Please see Pfc Zenga’s initial report for additional information.
