On 06/07/2026 at approximately 0116 hours, a silver Mercedes driven by ANDREW TURNER was stopped on Georgia Highway 17 for a defective headlight. After initially stopping on Wilson Road, TURNER fled as officers approached, leading deputies on a pursuit through Franklin County into Stephens County at speeds up to approximately 130 mph. The pursuit ended after a tire failure, a PIT maneuver, and a crash into a ditch on the Toccoa Bypass. TURNER resisted officers during extraction and handcuffing but was ultimately taken into custody.

Searches of TURNER and the vehicle yielded multiple glass pipes with burnt residue, a clear plastic bag containing an unknown pink substance (Item #2), and a clear plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance consistent with methamphetamine (Item #1). TURNER refused Georgia Implied Consent at approximately 0146 hours and was transported by Stephens County EMS to Saint Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital.

Warrants were obtained, evidence was photographed and logged, and the incident was recorded on body-worn camera.
