The following was taken from a press release distributed by the Atlanta Police Department on May 21, 2024:
FULTON COUNTY, Ga. – On 5/20/24 around 11:30pm, officers responded to persons shot at the location of 253 Auburn Ave NE. Upon arrival, officers located four persons shot with one pronounced deceased by EMS services.
Homicide investigators responded to the scene to investigate. Preliminary investigation indicates the shooting appeared to be an entering auto incident, during which the victim was shot and returned fire.
The investigation remains active at this time.
