FULTON COUNTY, Ga. – The Atlanta Falcons are slated to make franchise history this November when they take the field in Germany for their first regular-season appearance in Berlin, marking a major milestone in the NFL’s ongoing international expansion.

The Falcons will face the Indianapolis Colts on November 9 at the iconic Olympiastadion, a venue originally built for the 1936 Summer Olympics. The Week 10 matchup will serve as a home game for the Colts and represents the first-ever regular-season NFL contest held at the historic stadium.

This Berlin game is part of the league’s International Series, which continues to grow in scope and popularity. While the Falcons have participated in international games, most notably a preseason game in Tokyo and a regular-season game in London, this trip to Germany highlights a new chapter in the team’s global engagement.

The matchup also features a notable connection to the host country: Atlanta recently signed kicker Lenny Krieg, a Berlin native who previously played for the Stuttgart Surge in the European League of Football. His presence adds a local storyline to an already significant international event.

Both the Falcons and Colts are looking to build on their 2024 campaigns, which saw each team finish with 8-9 records and just miss out on playoff berths. The contest in Berlin may serve as a pivotal moment in the 2025 season for two franchises striving to re-enter postseason contention.

Germany has emerged as a key market for the NFL, with the league investing heavily in outreach and local fan engagement. The Falcons’ participation underscores their growing ties to the region, bolstered by the team’s inclusion in the NFL’s Global Markets Program. Over the years, Atlanta has cultivated a dedicated fan base in Germany, some of whom have traveled stateside to attend games.

Tickets for the Falcons-Colts matchup are now available through verified resale platforms. With demand expected to be high, fans are encouraged to secure their seats early for what is poised to be a landmark game in the NFL’s international footprint.

The NFL will release the full 2025 regular-season schedule on Wednesday night, including the rest of Atlanta’s home and away matchups at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
