The following was taken from a press release distributed by the Atlanta Police Department on June 17, 2024:
FULTON COUNTY, Ga. – On 6/17/24, around 4:30am, officers responded to 864 Thurmand St NW in reference to a burglary to a residence involving three male suspects. Upon arrival, officers encountered a male decedent lying unresponsive on the floor with an apparent gunshot wound.
The male was pronounced deceased on scene and removed at the direction of the Fulton County Medical Examiner. Homicide detectives responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
