On 12/2/25 at 11:13 PM, I Officer D. Jackson (7485) unit 1211 was dispatched to a person stabbed located at [2000 BLOCK] Peachtree Rd Ne #[REDACTED]. Injuries were reported.
Upon my arrival, I was led to the stairwell by security where I located a trail of blood leading up to unit [REDACTED]. I then knocked on the door and announced myself as Atlanta Police and a few moments later the arrestee Mr. Rajiid Fuselier (DOB [REDACTED BY AGENCY] 1992) came to the door wearing blue shorts, no shirt, and sneakers covered in blood.
I asked Mr. FUSELIER if he had been stabbed and he stated no. I asked him where is the person that was stabbed, he stated that he had left the unit. I asked him once again was the person injured inside the unit, he stated no they were not. Mr. FUSELIER uttered it was self-defense.
I immediately detained Mr. FUSELIER for officer safety without incident. Once the secondary unit arrived, I conducted a safety sweep of the unit to try and locate any injured or secondary victims. I located a large amount of blood throughout the unit but did not locate any other occupants inside the unit.
While Mr. FUSELIER was detained, I asked him for his name and date of birth which he did not give to me and stated he needed a second. I gave Mr. FUSELIER a few seconds and he still did not provide his information to me. Mr. FUSELIER was then taken downstairs and put in the back of my City of Atlanta patrol vehicle until investigators arrived.
The witness who also is a roommate Mr. [WITNESS #1] (DOB [REDACTED BY AGENCY] 1990) stated both parties began to have a verbal argument in reference to cheating allegations. Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated both parties asked Mr. [WITNESS #1] to step out of the apartment while they argued.
Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated while he was outside the unit he began to hear the two men fighting and getting really loud. Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated he attempted to gain entry back into the apartment by knocking on the door and trying to open it, but they had locked the door.
Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated that is when Mr. [VICTIM #1] (DOB [REDACTED BY AGENCY] 1994) came out holding his stomach saying he had been stabbed and call the police. Mr. [VICTIM #1] proceeded down the stairwell while bleeding. Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated that is when Mr. FUSELIER walked out the unit with an Army Swiss knife in one hand and a handgun in the other hand following Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated that Mr. FUSELIER uttered “I should have killed him”. Mr. [VICTIM #1] and Mr. FUSELIER had been living together for two days at the time of the incident.
During the canvass of the complex Officer Armstrong located Mr. [VICTIM #1] laying on the floor in a pool of blood on the first floor by the fitness center door. Mr. [VICTIM #1] was transported to Grady with a collapsed lung but listed in critical but stable condition.
The property manager was able to obtain video footage of the hallway leading to unit 225 and it shows Mr. [WITNESS #1] pacing back and forth in the hallway, and then Mr. [VICTIM #1] eventually comes out holding his stomach. While Mr. [VICTIM #1] is walking away in the hallway towards the stairwell you can see Mr. FUSELIER following him with a handgun in his hand. Mr. [WITNESS #1] and Mr. FUSELIER then walk back towards the unit, and Mr. [VICTIM #1] goes in the stairwell.
Mr. FUSELIER was read his Miranda rights at 1:24 AM but he refused to speak to investigators on the scene. Inv Lowe from General Crimes spoke to Mr. [VICTIM #1] at the hospital and all he stated was that Mr. FUSELIER stabbed him. Fire Engine 21 Grady bus 775 arrived on the scene. Sgt. Jensen arrived on the scene. General Investigator Hubbard also arrived on the scene.
After the search warrant was conducted, we were able to recover a Smith & Wesson 380 gold in color (S/N [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) located in a suitcase inside the bedroom and a knife. Mr. FUSELIER cellphone was also placed into property as evidence.
