On January 11, 2026, at around 19:17 P.M., I, Deputy C. Jump #545, was dispatched to [300 BLOCK] 25th Street regarding a domestic dispute. I responded code one, without lights or siren, in marked patrol car unit #524.
Upon my arrival, I met with the complainant, [VICTIM #1], and his ex-wife, [WITNESS #1]. [VICTIM #1] informed me that his ex-girlfriend, Amy Michelle Merrell, has been persistently contacting him, both in person and through text messages. He mentioned that he previously resided with Amy at [14400 BLOCK] Hwy 515 North. [VICTIM #1] stated that he moved out and purchased a camper spot in Coosawattee to distance himself from her. He indicated that although he lived with Amy for a year, she has never stayed in his camper in Coosawattee. [VICTIM #1] expressed that Amy has been continuously texting him despite his requests for her to stop.
He recounted that Amy arrived at his location around 18:55 P.M., and he asked her to leave. To document Amy’s behavior, [VICTIM #1] called his ex-wife, [WITNESS #1], to come over. [VICTIM #1] explained that Amy has access to Coosawattee solely because she cleans a few houses located on the opposite side of the area.
I requested dispatch to send security to [VICTIM #1]’s camper. [REDACTED] from security arrived, and I informed him that Amy was on the property for non-work-related reasons. [REDACTED] checked with security to determine when Amy last entered the property. He reported that Amy accessed the property through the Legion Gate at 18:46 P.M. [REDACTED] clarified that she had guest access to the property strictly for cleaning purposes. He also mentioned that Coosawattee would consider her actions as criminal trespass due to the misuse of her guest entry.
[WITNESS #1] showed me videos of Amy coming on to the property and damaging the cameras on the porch. One video showed Amy ripping down the cord supplying electricity to the cameras. [WITNESS #1] said when she arrived on the scene; Amy pulled up behind her and exits her car to confront her and [VICTIM #1].
[WITNESS #1] told me she told Amy to leave several times but kept on arguing with her and [VICTIM #1]. [WITNESS #1] said Amy grabbed at [VICTIM #1] and pulled his chain necklace from his neck causing the necklace to break and leave a mark around his neck.
[VICTIM #1] said Amy finally left and [WITNESS #1] called 911. Amy is on video walking on to the porch and you can hear in the background her kicking the front door. [VICTIM #1] told me he wants Amy to leave him alone so he could move on.
