[NARRATIVE #1 on January 15, 2026]

On January 15, 2026 at approximately 08:15 A.M., I, Cpl. J. Carver #529, was dispatched to the area of Newport Road and Garnet Drive in reference to suspicious activity. Dispatch advised that the caller (Chancelor Middleton) stated that a male was scoping out the properties. I responded code one without any emergency equipment activated.

While en-route, dispatch advised that the caller and suspicious male [VICTIM #1], identified by the caller, were engaged in an argument in front of [1500 BLOCK] Garnet Drive in the roadway. A few minutes later dispatch advised that Mr. [VICTIM #1] had left in the direction of the gate to the neighborhood and was driving a black Nissan Murano.

I made contact with Mr. [VICTIM #1] on Newport Road at Ogdon Road. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that he was driving around and noticed four deer fighting in the woods and stopped to watch them and he was approached by the caller and he pulled a gun on him and advised him that he knew who he was and would kill him if he didn’t leave. Mr. [VICTIM #1] had a passenger by the name of [WITNESS #1] with him and confirmed Mr. [VICTIM #1] story.

I provided Mr. [VICTIM #1] with the case number and advised him that I would be in touch. He stated that he would be at [200 BLOCK] 10th Street. After Mr. [VICTIM #1] pulled off, a Coosawattee Security Officer [WITNESS #2] pulled up and advised that he witnessed the incident between the caller and Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [WITNESS #2] stated the he did see Mr. [VICTIM #1] parked in the middle of the roadway and Mr. Middleton had him at gunpoint.

I then relocated to speak with Mr. Middleton. I made contact with Mr. Middleton and his wife, [REDACTED], just before their address on Garnet Drive. Mr. Middleton stated that he was the one that ran Mr. [VICTIM #1] off because he is familiar with him because he use to work for Coosawattee Security. Mr. Middleton stated that he almost had a break in at his house in 2025 and didn’t want Mr. [VICTIM #1] near his property.

While talking to Mr. Middleton, I did observe several large bucks walking in the woods in front of his address. I asked Mr. Middleton if he had a gun on him and he allowed me to see his pistol located in his driver’s door and I retrieved the serial number (094-47842) from it.

I advised Mr. Middleton that I was going to be documenting what had happened today and provided him with the case number and victims pamphlet. I then relocated to Mr. [VICTIM #1]’s address and provided him the case number as well and victims’ pamphlet. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated he should be able to drive around and look for fallen trees so he can contact the POA and cut them up for firewood.

Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that he wanted to press charges against Mr. Middleton for pointing the gun at him and threating to kill him. I advised Mr. [VICTIM #1] that I would be documenting everything for him and would also be contacting a detective.

Based on the witness statements and Mr. Middleton having a gun in his possession, warrants will be applied for Aggravated Assault and Terroristic Threats. Victim notification form completed and turned in to dispatch.
