On April 11th, 2026 at approximately 19:35, I, Deputy J. Parks 531, was dispatched to a call at [300 BLOCK] Amelia Drive in reference to the caller being assaulted and the attacker sicked his pitbull on the caller. I responded code 3 (emergency) in patrol unit 121, with in car audio and video active, as well as my body worn camera.

When I arrived on scene, I observed a male identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY] standing in the driveway with blood running down his left arm. Lt. Hefner and I made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY], I observed his right cheek bone and temple area to be very red and swollen as well as his left eye partially swollen shut. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] also had scratches on his right cheek. The shorts he had on had blood stains on them from the blood running down his arm. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] what happened.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] told me that a subject by the name of Jody Woodall came to his residence in a grey or silver in color, truck. He said Jody pulled up in his yard and he told Jody to leave but he wouldn’t. He said Jody was drunk. He said Jody got out of his truck and started attacking him. He said while Jody was attacking him he let his tan pitbull out of his truck and sicked it on him. He said he was able to get lose from the pitbull and ran into his house to hide from them. He said Jody then left his property.

I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] why Jody attacked him. He said the only thing he could think of was he had told one of Jody’s friends he didn’t care for Jody and didn’t want him on his property. He said he didn’t want Jody around him because he was in jail for three months and Jody got his girlfriend, at the time, hooked on drugs. While talking with him, I observed a beer bottle lying on the ground that he advised was Jody’s.

EMS arrived on scene and checked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] injuries. They advised him that he needed to go to the hospital due to his injuries and because he would need rabies shots, in case the dog had rabies. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] refused to go with EMS he said he would have his nephew take him when he got home.

I then asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if he would fill out a witness statement form and he agreed. When he was done, I collected the form and provided him with a Vine Pamphlet, victim’s advocate pamphlet, and victim notification. He also filled out a criminal trespass warning, before I left the scene.

Lt. Hefner and I relocated to Jody’s residence, [40 BLOCK] Morton Trail, where the gate at the end of the driveway was locked. We tried to make contact and also tried to call him out over the PA on our patrol units but were unable to make contact. I decided to leave the scene and obtain warrants. I will be taking warrants on Jody Woodall for criminal trespass, battery, and aggravated assault.
