On 12/16/2025 at approximately 12:43 a.m. I was dispatched to Emanuel Church Road and Highway 82 in reference to a DUI/Traffic Accident. Dispatch advised police a black in color sedan with major front end damage had just collided into a water pump at the corner of US Highway 82 and Emanuel Church Road.
Once I arrived on scene I observed a black in color Chevy Camaro with major front end damage driving toward US Highway 82 on Emanual Church Road. At this time I activated my patrol vehicle’s emergency equipment and notified dispatch of my traffic stop. The black in color Chevy Camaro with a Georgia license plate of [REDACTED] pulled over at Emanuel Church Road and Head Drive.
I exited my patrol vehicle and asked the driver who was later identified as Alvaro Campo Jaen if he was ok? Alvaro said he was ok. I asked Alvaro if he had run into anythng? I told him I noticed his vehicle was severely damaged. Alvaro said he did run into something but was unsure what he had run into. Alvaro also said he was unsure where the vehicle collision occurred. I took photos of the Chevy Camaro.
At about this time Alvaro said he was calling his mother and informed her where we were. I asked Alvaro if he had been drinking alcoholic beverages? Alvaro said, “Modelo.” Alvaro would not go into further detail as I asked more questons.
At about this time I asked Alvaro to step out of his vehicle. Alvaro had a hard time exiting his vehicle as his front driver door had severe damage. The front driver door had to be pried open. Once Alvaro stepped out of his vehicle I smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath as he spoke. He was also unsteady on his feet. At about this time Alvaro’s mother, [REDACTED] and his step dad arrived on scene. I asked them not to interfere with my investigation and they complied.
I was unable to understand everything Alvaro was saying and called the Glynn County Police Departemnt contracted language line (Voiance). They interpreted our conversations. I asked Alvaro if he would provide a breath sample into my Preliminary Breath Test machine? Alvaro agreed. I retrieved my P.B.T. from my patrol vehicle and had ALvaro provide a breath sample. The results of the P.B.T. were positive for alcohol.
At this time I informed and arreested Alvaro for DUI Less Safe. I handcuffed him behind the back and double locked the handcuffs. I searched him for weapons and contraband, none were found. I then read him Georgia Implied Consent Notice for suspects 21 and Older. I asked Alvaro for a blood sample. Alvaro agreed. I then noticed I did not have a blood test kit. I then reread Georgia Implied Consent Notice for suspects 21 and Older. I asked Alvaro for a breath sample. He agreed to provide a breath sample.
I asked Alvaro if his mother could get his belongings out of the Chevy Camaro. He said yes. I also learned the Chevy Camro was registered to his mother. I allowed [REDACTED] to take possession of the vehicle. Officer Rourke arrived on scene about this time. I asked him to investigate the traffic collision as I took Alvaro to the hospital. Officer Rourke agreed.
I transported Alvaro to the Southeast Georgia Health System where he received a jail clearance. I then transported Alvaro to the Glynn County Detention Center. Once we arrived at the jial Officer Rourke had Alvaro blow into the Intoxilyzer 9000. Officer Rourke informed me Alvaro blew a .211. He gave me a copy of the Intoxilyzer 9000 test results.
I cited Alvaro for the below listed charges. I gave him his copies of the citations. I gave the jail their copies of the citation. I released Alvaro to the jail staff. I gave the jail staff Alvaro’s medical clearance forms.
I searched the back seat of my patrol vehicle for weapons and contraband, none were found. I completed the involvement tabs, BK tab, and the vehicle tab. This report has been validated. I have uploaded the Intoxilyzer 9000 test results and the ABIS to Evidence.com. I uploaded photos of the damaged Chevy Camaro to Evidence.com.
