On 03/04/2026 at approximately 0339 I responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a Welfare Check involving a Juvenile.

Upon arrival at the residence, attempts were made to contact Ms. Jones’ son, Juvenile (age 5), whom Ms. Andrea Jones stated she had left home alone since approximately midnight. Multiple knocks and announcements were made at the door; however, no one responded.

Keys to the residence were obtained from Ms. Andrea Jones while she was at the hospital being evaluated for a 10-13 after being arrested in reference to an earlier incident that occurred the same night.

Using the keys provided, entry was made into [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. The Juvenile was located in the back right bedroom of the apartment. Inside the bedroom, the following conditions were observed:

The bed did not have sheets.
Multiple bags of trash were present in the room.
Rotten food was observed falling out of the trash bags.
The room had a very strong odor of urine.
The room was visibly dirty and in unsanitary condition.

I asked the Juvenile why there was a bag of food trash in his room. Which he stated that his “mama always does that.”

Due to the child being left home alone for an extended period and the unsanitary living conditions observed, the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) was notified. The Juvenile was transported to Glynn County Headquarters to await pickup by DFCS.

The incident was reported to the Georgia Child Abuse Hotline [REDACTED].

A warrant for Cruelty to Children in the Second Degree was secured for Andrea Jones.
