On 7/19/2026 at 0423 hours I responded to the area of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a 911 Dead Open line. Dispatch advised there was a female on the line yelling help with commotion in the background.
Upon my arrival to the area, we were unable to find the exact residence due to the property housing multiple families. While searching the area I observed a Hispanic male standing in the window of [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. I approached the residence and could smell an overwhelming odor of alcohol. I knocked on the door several times and announced myself as Glynn County Police. A few moments later a Hispanic male opened the door and I asked if he knew female by the name of [REDACTED] (the name that was given to dispatch) He stated she was inside. I asked if there was a disturbance inside? He told me yes, they were in the back bedroom. Ofc. McKendree and Ofc. Chandler arrived on scene as I was entering the residence.
I entered the bedroom and observed a Hispanic male who later identified as Carlos Enrique standing in the threshold of the bathroom and bedroom speaking to someone. I told him to step away from the bathroom and come towards me. He did not comply with this command. I approached him and grabbed his arm in an attempt to separate him and the subject inside the bathroom. He refused to leave the bedroom and was noncompliant with lawful commands.
Ofc. McKendree began leading Carlos out of the residence when he pushed Ofc. McKendree away from him. I drew my department issued taser 10 and began giving warning’s that if he did not place his hands behind his back he would be tased. Ofc. McKendree grabbed Carlos and walked him outside of the residence where he was still noncompliant. Ofc. McKendree used a takedown on the male, putting him on the ground. Once the male was handcuffed, I went inside to speak to the complainant.
I spoke to the complainant, [VICTIM #1], using the Violence Language line. She told me her boyfriend Carlos has been drinking all night. She said Carlos came inside their bedroom and began yelling at her and accusing her of cheating on him with a male from their daughter’s birthday party. She said she was sitting in the edge of the bed and Carlos got angry and began punching her in the face and head multiple times while calling her names. She said her one year old daughter was sleeping on the bed while he was attacking her and woke up due to the fight. She said she grabbed her daughter and locked herself in the bathroom.
[VICTIM #1] stated Carlos began beating on the bathroom door attempting to get inside. She said he broke the door off the hinge and got into the bathroom. She said once he got inside, he began punching her again in the head. She said once he stopped hitting her he was just verbally abusing her by calling her names. She said once police arrived on scene she said he kept telling her not to tell the police what happened.
I spoke with Ofc. McKendree who told me Carlos admitted to slapping her in the face one time but denied any further physical violence. I observed a small laceration on the bridge of [VICTIM #1]’s nose as well as redness and swelling around her left eye. I observed multiple knots forming on the left side of [VICTIM #1]’s head. I called for squad to check [VICTIM #1] due to her having a complaint of head pain and dizziness. Squad checked her out and she denied transport. I gave [VICTIM #1] a Victims Bill of Rights in Spanish. Ofc. McKendree took photos of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries.
