On 03/20/2026 at approximately 1749 hours Officer J. Miller #130 and I responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a Suspicious call. Before we arrived at the scene, dispatch advised us the caller was a 15 year old with two 10 year olds walking in the neighborhood calling about an intoxicated white male in a red shirt banging on a door of a home asking for alcohol.
Upon arrival, I knocked on the door of the house and I spoke with a white male who fit the description. When the white male (Charles Beverly) saw us, he immediately became frustrated and asked the white female [VICTIM #1] why we were there. I observed Mr. Beverly’s face was red and his eyes were glossed over. I could also smell the odor of alcohol coming from his breath. Mr. Beverly claimed that Ms. [VICTIM #1] and himself were having a dispute and nothing else happened.
When asked what the dispute was about, Mr. Beverly said it was about life and started to raise his voice saying, “Do you know the life I go through every fu*king day?” Ms. [VICTIM #1] stepped beside Mr. Beverly and asked him to stop yelling. I then observed Ms. [VICTIM #1] stare at me and point at Mr. Charles and point away from the house with her thumb. I then asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] to step outside with me in order to separate both her and Mr. Beverly.
When I spoke to Ms. [VICTIM #1], she claimed they were having a dispute, but no one hit each other and nothing was damaged inside the house. Ms. [VICTIM #1] also claimed this was her house and she wanted Mr. Beverly to leave the property.
After obtaining Mr. Beverly’s information, I attempted to ask dispatch to run him through NCIC/GCIC while Officer J. Miller talked to Ms. [VICTIM #1] away from the front porch where Mr. Beverly was standing. When Officer J. Miller and Ms. [VICTIM #1] returned to the front porch, Mr. Beverly was advised Ms. [VICTIM #1] wanted him off the property.
Mr. Beverly then started to step towards the truck that was parked in the driveway, but we stopped and advised him he could not drive due to him being intoxicated. Mr. Beverly became frustrated and began to yell at Ms. [VICTIM #1] saying, “You just fu*ked me big time.” Both Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Mr. Beverly began to yell at each other. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then went inside the house and shut the door leaving Officer J. Miller and I on the front porch with Mr. Beverly.
Mr. Beverly was advised that he was being criminally trespassed from this location. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then came back onto the porch and Mr. Beverly began to yell at her again. Officer J. Miller spoke with Ms. [VICTIM #1] privately while I continued to watch Mr. Beverly. Mr. Beverly sat on a chair and continued to yell and curse. After Officer J. Miller spoke with Ms. [VICTIM #1], he told me to run the tag on the truck to verify the owner.
As I was walking back to the patrol vehicle, I heard Mr. Beverly say, “Are you fu*king kidding me?” in a tone loud enough to where I could hear it from the patrol vehicle. I began to walk back towards the house when Mr. Beverly yelled, “Why the fu*k you do this to me.” At this point neighbors, including children, were coming out of there homes to see what was happening. Officer J. Miller advised Mr. Beverly if he continued to scream he would be going to jail for disorderly conduct.
Mr. Beverly continued to scream and curse. Officer J. Miller attempted to grab Mr. Beverly’s arm, but Mr. Beverly snatched his arm away saying, “Don’t put your fu*king hands on me.” I then ran up to Mr. Beverly and grabbed his left arm. Mr. Beverly was tensing his arm when I tried to put it behind his back. Mr. Beverly was escorted to the ground where handcuffs were applied. Mr. Beverly was escorted to the patrol vehicle where he was searched incident to arrested and placed in the back seat.
I then went and spoke to Ms. [VICTIM #1]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] claimed she wanted Mr. Beverly criminally trespassed from her property. I then asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] to explain to me what happened before we arrived. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said that she invited Mr. Beverly over to talk things out, but he became highly upset. Ms. [VICTIM #1] claimed she kicked him out of the house and he began to bang on the doors and windows. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said this is when a group of kids came up and asked if everything was ok.
After the kids showed up, Ms. [VICTIM #1] then brought Mr. Beverly inside the home but he had a gun to his throat. Officer J. Miller asked MS. [VICTIM #1] if he could search the truck for the gun since the truck is in her name. MS. [VICTIM #1] gave permission for Officer J. Miller to search the truck. Officer J. Miller found the gun and a half filled 5th of Fireball whiskey. Officer J. Miller ran the firearm through NCIC/GCIC. The firearm was placed back in the truck.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] was given a case card. Mr. Beverly was escorted to the hospital for a jail clearance. After receiving jail clearance from the hospital, Mr. Beverly was transported the County Detention Center where an ABIS form was completed.
Mr. Beverly was charged with the following charges:
Disorderly Conduct (16-11-39)
Obstruction to LEO (16-10-24(a))
