On the above date, I responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Tara Ln in reference to a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, I observed Officer Corrigan speaking with a male, later identified as Christopher Massey. I then entered the residence and announced my presence. Upon entry into the front living room, I observed a broken TV dinner table with a dumbbell weight on top of it. I continued further into the home and made contact with Mr. [VICTIM #1].
Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised that his grandson, Christopher Massey, became upset and went into a rage inside the residence. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that Christopher has mental health issues and that he can no longer manage his behavior. He requested that Christopher be removed from the home and taken to jail.
Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised that Christopher did not strike or physically touch him at any time. He stated that Christopher became upset over an unknown issue, which he described as typical behavior. Mr. [VICTIM #1] further advised that Christopher began yelling from the front living room, stating he was “tired of this sh*t and tired of everyone.” Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated he attempted to calm Christopher down by yelling at him to stop.
Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised that Christopher then began striking the walls and banging on objects, at which time the TV dinner table was broken. Mr. [VICTIM #1] estimated the value of the table to be approximately $35. Due to Mr. [VICTIM #1] being disabled, I conducted a walkthrough of the residence and did not observe any additional damage.
Mr. [VICTIM #1] further advised that Christopher made threats toward him, stating he would “kill him and the whole family.” Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated that although he did not want his grands on arrested, he feared for his safety. He also advised that Christopher resides with him due to being homeless.
I then returned outside and made contact with Mr. Massey. He was informed that he was under arrest for the damage to the property. Mr. Massey was placed under arrest, searched by Officer Corrigan, and secured in the rear of a patrol vehicle. I then transported Mr. Massey to the Glynn County Detention Center without incident, where SOVI and ABIS were completed. Mr. Massey was turned over to detention center staff without further incident.
At this time, the charges are as follows:
Criminal Trespass (FVA) for damaging the table
Disorderly Conduct for making violent threats toward Mr. [VICTIM #1]
