[NARRATIVE #1 on November 21, 2023]

I responded to 2005 Putnam Street, Oleander Motel in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, I made contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1] at room [REDACTED] with Mr. [WITNESS #1]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated, David Lee had beat her, and left the scene. Ms. [VICTIM #1] had visible marks to her entire face, with slight swelling near her right eye, and a bump on the right side of her forehead. Ms. [VICTIM #1] had a laceration to her left hand where Mr. Lee had bit her. Ofc. Walker provided Ms. [VICTIM #1] with a domestic violence victims pamphlet.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she told Mr. Lee that she wanted to end their relationship and was wanting to move from room [REDACTED] to another room by herself. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated Mr. Lee became very irate and began to punch her repeatedly she then fell to the sidewalk and parking lot outside of room [REDACTED] which they currently share together. He continued to punch her with his fists, kick her, bite her and pick her up slightly pushing her to the ground and against the raised concrete parking space. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she just tried to cover her face during the incident. After an unknown amount of time, she realized Mr. [WITNESS #1] was there, telling her to come to his room to get away from Mr. Lee, if he came back.

Mr. [WITNESS #1], a witness stated, he was sitting in his room {[REDACTED]} with his door open and heard screaming outside. Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated he went to the door and looked out and began to follow the screaming to the area in front of room [REDACTED]. Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated he saw Mr. Lee on top of Ms. [VICTIM #1] and saw a broom in the bed of a truck and picked it up and tried to stop Mr. Lee with the broom to stop hitting Ms. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated Mr. Lee finally got up and stepped away and got onto his blue bicycle and rode away, going north on Putnam Street. Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated he also notified the Manager of the property and responded to the location. Mr. [WITNESS #1] allowed Ms. [VICTIM #1] to use his phone, since her phone was missing from the altercation to contact the number on the domestic Violence pamphlet.

A short time later Mr. [REDACTED] arrived and attempted to review the camera system. Mr. [REDACTED] stated due to daylight saving time, he has not properly adjusted the exterior light to come on before it gets dark. Mr. [REDACTED] attempted to show video and it was poor due to the low light.

Ofc. Walker and Ms. [VICTIM #1] had returned to room [REDACTED] for Ms. [VICTIM #1] to collect items to go stay at the domestic violence shelter. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated earlier today she gave Mr. Lee her white South Coast bank card to pay the rent for the room, which he had not given back to her.

Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s phone was located in a puddle of water outside room [REDACTED], where she collected it. At some point Ms. [VICTIM #1] called Mr. Lee to ask about her bank card.

Manager, Mr. [REDACTED] overheard the conversation about the bank card, and stated Mr. Lee did not pay rent today for the room.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] was issued a case card, and was transported to Brunswick Police Headquarters for further clearance for domestic violence shelter placement by Ofc. McMullen.

With witness and victim statements, a warrant for Battery FVA will be obtained for Mr. David Lee, which will then be entered into NCIC/GCIC.
