On 03/19/2026 I (Ofc. SHIPSKIE) received a call in reference to a problem with person located at [2000 BLOCK] TOWNSEND ST.

Upon arrival I made contact with Officer CURVIN and the suspect, identified as DAVID MARTINEZ. I made contact with the complainant, identified as [VICTIM #1], at the front door of the residence. She explained that this was the second instance this date that MARTINEZ had come to her house threatening her. [VICTIM #1] stated that MARTINEZ is an ex-boyfriend and that he had arrived at the home and appeared to be under the influence of something and armed with some type of tool. While en route dispatch advised they could hear MARTINEZ yelling in the background.

MALE POSS ON PROBATION

[VICTIM #1] stated that as MARTINEZ walked around the home yelling and cursing at her, her son (14yo male) went outside to confront him. Fearing for her son she exited the residence armed with a baseball bat. It was shortly after this that MARTINEZ retreated to the front yard where contact was made by Officers. I asked [VICTIM #1] if she was in fear of being harmed by MARTINEZ and she stated she was. I believe this is valid based on her admittance of arming herself while going outside to help her son.

Although I could not smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage about his person I could see signs of intoxication from MARTINEZ. He had slurred speech, lack of consistent ability to formulate coherent and complete sentences and was unstable on his feet. MARTINEZ said he had come back to the house to confront a male that was inside after he claims to have observed him assault [VICTIM #1]. Given MARTINEZ’s actions that placed [VICTIM #1] in fear of bodily harm I decided to place him under arrest for Disorderly Conduct.

MARTINEZ complained of several areas on his body that were hurting. He was transported to the Brunswick ER and received a medical clearance. He was transported to the Glynn County Detention Center where he was released to jail staff.

Warrants for Disorderly Conduct will be applied for.
